Real-Time Generative Audio Description Insertion Using Vision Language Analysis, Nikita Agarwal
Real-Time Generative Audio Description Insertion Using Vision Language Analysis, Nikita Agarwal
Defensive Publications Series
Standard audio description tracks are manually scripted and pre-recorded, leaving vast amounts of uncurated media content inaccessible to visually impaired users as the audio description tracks are only available for a small fraction of premium media content. To address this limitation, the disclosed technology details a process for generating real-time audio descriptions for media content. Video frames are analyzed locally by an on-device vision language model during identified silence windows or gaps within the media content. A text summary of the visual action is generated and subsequently converted to speech. The playback speed of the synthesized narration is dynamically adjusted …

Adaptive Compliance-Aware Secure Gateway Selection And Disaster-Aware Autonomous Tunnel Rehoming For Secure Service Edge (Sse) Environments Using No-Mutation Shadow Probing And Policy-Equivalence Gating, Faizan Amjad Mohammed, Ashwin Kumar Ravichandran, Pradeepan K Kannawadi
Defensive Publications Series
Proposed herein is a framework to enable adaptive, compliance-aware secure service edge (SSE) secure gateway selection and autonomous tunnel rehoming for enterprise software-defined wide area network (SD-WAN) edges in both steady-state and disaster conditions. The proposed framework uniquely combines no-mutation controller-side shadow probing, hard policy-equivalence gating, and transactional canary/staged rollout with deterministic rollback before production cutover. The result is safer failovers and better application performance while preserving compliance boundaries and reducing outage blast radius.

La Conceptualisation Du Temps À Travers Les Métaphores Dans Le Parler De Zayan : Approche Cognitive, Amenzou El Mostafa, Brahim Oumeraouch
La Conceptualisation Du Temps À Travers Les Métaphores Dans Le Parler De Zayan : Approche Cognitive, Amenzou El Mostafa, Brahim Oumeraouch
Journal of Amazigh Studies

La Formation Des Noms D’Agent En Tamazight À Travers Un Modèle Inspiré De La Morphologie Distribuée « Le Parler De Zayan Au Moyen Atlas Marocain », Rachid Achahboun
Journal of Amazigh Studies

Journal of Amazigh Studies
Indigeneity In The Diaspora: Amazigh Women In The United States, Heide Castaneda
Indigeneity In The Diaspora: Amazigh Women In The United States, Heide Castaneda
Journal of Amazigh Studies
As people migrate elsewhere, they create new forms of solidarity and citizenship through articulations of their Indigenous identity. The activities and identity formations of migrant Imazighen have long been integral to the Amazigh movement, often producing and propelling forward ideas and practices that influence politics in their North African homelands. At the same time, migration is a key driver of shifts in gender roles and identity. The gendered dimension of Indigenous experience remains largely underexplored and is the subject of this article. Amazigh women, like other Indigenous women around the globe, are frequently portrayed as guardians of cultural and linguistic …
Reframing Kabyle Resistance In Marc Garanger's Femmes Algériennes 1960, Lea Wong
Reframing Kabyle Resistance In Marc Garanger's Femmes Algériennes 1960, Lea Wong
Journal of Amazigh Studies
This article examines the identity photographs taken by Marc Garanger as a site of Kabyle women’s resistance in the Algerian War. Over the course of 1960, Garanger moved between various wartime displacement camps across Kabylia, photographing indigenous people for the production of identity cards––a crucial from of colonial population control. Since its publication, Garanger’s Femmes algériennes has become an ambiguous symbol of resistance in the Algerian War, largely due to the subjects’ perceived antagonistic posture and gaze. This article takes a forensic approach to analyzing Kabyle women’s wartime adornment, uncovering a new framework for conceptualizing Algerian women’s agency grounded in …
Representations Of Women Safeguarding Living Cultural Heritage For The Future In 21st Century Kabyle Cinema, Sheila Petty
Representations Of Women Safeguarding Living Cultural Heritage For The Future In 21st Century Kabyle Cinema, Sheila Petty
Journal of Amazigh Studies
This article examines cinematic representations of how some Kabyle women relate to and shape claims to Amazigh (Kabyle) land, language, tangible and intangible cultural heritage; how they navigate and safeguard cultural memory; and how this is depicted in three Kabyle films: La Langue de Zahra/ Zahra’s Mother Tongue (Fatima Sissani, France/Algeria, 2011); Nnuba (Sonia At Qasi-Kessi, Algeria, 2019; and Azar/Racine/Root (Malik Bourkache Daoud, Algeria, 2023). The article also probes how the filmmakers use tangible cultural heritage (documentary film) to document, transpose, and transmit intangible cultural heritage (memories, poetry, song, stories). Through an analysis of the narrative form and cinematic style …
Listening To Taos Amrouche, A Kabyle Woman’S Singing Voice In A Context Of Exile And Immigration : Between A Search For Intimacy And Independence, Melek Chekili
Journal of Amazigh Studies
This article analyzes the vocal, musical and literary strategies Algerian Kabyle singer and writer Taos Amrouche employs to determine the place voicing holds for her in contexts of colonization, exile and migration. I demonstrate through her singing career and her 1975 autobiographical novel l’Amant Imaginaire, that within the ambivalences stemming from her birth in Tunisia to exiled Kabyle Christian converts and her emigration to France, Taos Amrouche’s singing voice provides a space where those ambivalences can co-exist. By being adamant about keeping her artistic activity close to her body and explicitly referring to sex in her writing, she exerts …
De La Domination Masculine Et Coloniale À La Résistance Féminine : Le Bordel Colonial Comme Espace De Subversion Dans Ussan Indryen Sadu Lalla Turtut De Kadawi, Mohamed El Jarari
De La Domination Masculine Et Coloniale À La Résistance Féminine : Le Bordel Colonial Comme Espace De Subversion Dans Ussan Indryen Sadu Lalla Turtut De Kadawi, Mohamed El Jarari
Journal of Amazigh Studies
This article examines how Kadawi's novel Ussan Indryen Sadu Lalla Turtutest transforms the colonial brothel from a site of oppression into a space of resistance and emancipation. While colonial powers in North Africa established regulated prostitution systems to control indigenous women and enforce racial segregation, Kadawi subverts this historical reality by reimagining the brothel as a Foucauldian heterotopia where traditional power structures are dismantled. Through the relationship between protagonist Yettu and brothel keeper Mamma, the narrative challenges both colonial and patriarchal authority while rewriting women into North African resistance history. Our analysis primarily draws on Foucault's spatial theory alongside feminist …
Les Romancières En Amazighe Tachelhit : Une Écriture Au-Delà Des Limites, Fadma Farras
Les Romancières En Amazighe Tachelhit : Une Écriture Au-Delà Des Limites, Fadma Farras
Journal of Amazigh Studies
