Identifying The Factors Affecting The Survival Of Trauma Patients Using Logistic Regression Analysis, Maggie Smith

Numerous predictors affect the clinical outcomes such as survival status, a binary outcome variable, of patients with physical trauma. Logistic regression is one of the widely used methods to analyze relationships between a set of predictors with a binary outcome variable. In this study, we built a logistic regression model for a binary outcome variable, Hospital Discharge Status (HDS). Predictors included in this analysis are arrival time, age, trauma level, injury severity score, arrival heart rate, arrival blood pressure, length of hospital stay, time from injury to arrival at the BC, patient transfer or direct admittance, mode of transfer, time …

Reducing the levels of heavy metals in water is crucial, given their severe environmental and health impacts. Various methods exist for heavy metals removal. Yet, they mostly come with multiple drawbacks, such as costly treatments and limited efficiency. Previous studies have found geopolymer to be a promising sorbent because it is synthesized using by-product materials, making it an eco-friendly and economically sustainable alternative. Limited studies explored the sorption potential of fly ash-slag blended geopolymers; none examined the effect of mix design factors synergically on sorption, mechanical properties, and durability, and few considered solution characteristics and operating conditions simultaneously. This research focuses on the algebraic structures of the Quadratic Stochastic Processes (QSPs). In this work, we first study 𝜉^(𝑎)- Quadratic Stochastic Operators (QSOs) linked to the partition ℙ₃. We simultaneously discuss the dynamics of the obtained QSOs. Moreover, the algebraic structure of the associated genetic algebra is studied. Further, we build Quadratic Stochastic Processes (QSPs) using the given Markov processes. Consequently, we obtain an ordinary differential equation for the resultant Quadratic Stochastic Processes (QSPs). Chronic pain is a burdensome condition that has been found to be associated with increased suicide risk, yet the mechanisms underlying this relationship remain unclear (Domenichiello & Ramsden, 2019). The present study aims to examine the role of pain interference and psychological inflexibility in predicting past two-week suicidal thoughts and behaviors (STB) among individuals with chronic pain, with psychological inflexibility explored as a potential moderator. Replicating and expanding on McCracken et al. (2018), this study seeks to enhance the understanding of suicidality in chronic pain populations by using the Multidimensional Psychological Flexibility Inventory (Rolffs et al., 2018), a more psychometrically …
