This study discusses the design development of a sustainable workplace interior, using PITA office—a furniture company in Indonesia—as the context of study. The design aims to create a sustainable office environment that reflects the company's commitment to sustainability, particularly in relation to various interior material practices. This study applies Nirmal Kishnani's six principles of sustainable design within the Asian context to the interior design of the PITA office, encompassing the principles of efficacy, ecology, wellness, embeddedness, advocacy, and integration. Background: Alterations in brain function and structure, such as depression and neurocognitive impairment, continue to occur in people with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV, PWH) taking suppressive antiretroviral therapy (ART). The lifespan of PWH has improved but the healthspan remains worse than people without HIV, in part because of aging-related diseases. As a result, polypharmacy is common and increases the risk of drug-drug interactions and adverse reactions.

BACKGROUND: Nine National Cancer Institute-Designated Cancer Centers received supplemental funding to expand community outreach and engagement activities through a partnership with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention-funded comprehensive cancer control coalitions. This article reports on an evaluation of these awards focused on organizational relationships and partnership outcomes.

METHODS: The National Cancer Institute, community outreach and engagement, and coalition representatives co-designed the evaluation, which involved document review and 18 semistructured interviews with 16 community outreach and engagement and 19 coalition representatives. Artificial intelligence-generated interview transcripts were dual-coded in NVivo, version 20/R1, software.

Carita pantun serves as traditional epics narrated in oral tradition performances accompanied by kacapi musical instruments. Historically, carita pantun was fully integrated into the ritual calendar and performed regularly in various regions in Tatar Sunda including West Java and Banten. In this paper, I examine the evolving portrayal of women in Sundanese society through a close analysis of certain nouns denoting women in the magazine Manglé. Using corpus linguistics, specifically word frequency and collocation analyses, I aim to investigate the evolving images of Sundanese women in relation to Indonesia’s political context over time. I argue that the evolution shown can be seen as a detailed overview of how the images of Sundanese women have been transformed. One of the distinctive features of the Sundanese language is the use of Kecap Anteuran (KA), or verb intensifiers. This linguistic feature often poses challenges when translating Sundanese into foreign languages, particularly European languages. However, we argue that Sundanese KA demonstrates a higher degree of translatability into Japanese, a language that also uses verb intensifiers similar to those found in Sundanese. In Japanese, words analogous to Sundanese KA are categorized as giongo-gitaigo, although the term onomatope is more commonly used. Obesity is a significant global health challenge, with adverse impacts on cardiometabolic health such as hypertension, dyslipidemia, and insulin resistance. One promising intervention in obesity management is intermittent fasting (PI). However, scientific evidence on the impact of IF on cardiometabolic health is still limited. This study used a scoping review design to evaluate the association between IF and cardiometabolic health in obese adults. Exploring The Non-Communicable Disease Burden In Indonesia – Findings From The 2023 Health Survey, Akifa Laila Rusyda

The present study rigorously examines the correlation between obesity, high-risk dietary consumption, and unhealthy lifestyles with the prevalence of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in Indonesia. The study employed a cross-sectional study design using secondary data from the 2023 Indonesian Health Survey, analyzing 38 units (n) representing Indonesia's provinces in 2023. The correlation analysis, conducted using Pearson's test with a significance level of 95% (α<0.05), revealed significant regional disparities in the prevalence of NCDs, dietary consumption, and lifestyle factors across Indonesia. Moreover, the findings reveal a statistically significant positive correlation between obesity, high-risk food consumption, and lifestyle risk factors with the prevalence of several NCDs, including diabetes mellitus, heart disease, hypertension, and chronic kidney disease. These results underscore the potential impact of our research on public health in Indonesia. The results highlight also the urgent need for targeted public health initiatives, such as policies promoting healthier food choices, controlling the food environment, encouraging physical activity, and supporting smoking cessation to mitigate the growing burden of NCDs in Indonesia.

The Effect Of Calisthenics Training On Estimated Vo₂Max Values In College Students, Rayhan Amer Imran, Triyanti Triyanti, Fathimah Sulistyowati Sigit, Mury Kuswari

Cardiorespiratory fitness (VO₂max) among university students is worryingly low, with more than 50% of students categorized as unfit (<41.7 mL/kg/min). This study was conducted to determine the effect of calisthenic training on estimated VO₂max values using a quasi-experimental study design on 21 male students of the Faculty of Public Health, University of Indonesia from August to October 2024. Subjects were divided into 2 groups: the intervention group (n=10) and the control group (n=11). The intervention group performed treatment in the form of calisthenics exercise for 40 minutes, and the control group received running exercise treatment for 20 minutes, with both exercises done twice a week for 4 consecutive weeks. Body weight, height, body mass index, estimated VO₂max values, body fat percentage, muscle mass, academic stress levels, sleep quality and macronutrient intake data were measured pre-and-post training and were analyzed using independent and dependent t-tests. The results showed a significant (p<0.05) difference in change on the average estimated VO₂max values between the intervention group (3.5 mL/kg/min) and the control group (11.4 mL/kg/min). It can be concluded that the changes in estimated VO₂max values were likely more effective in the running group compared to the calisthenics group.

Public engagement in marine litter research is increasing. Further advancing this approach requires a critical examination of the benefits of citizen science and the primary challenges that we must overcome. A thematic analysis of survey responses from 56 professionals (scientists and project organisers) who use citizen science to investigate marine litter revealed nine significant benefits alongside ten key challenges. Benefits were identified for the citizen scientists (e.g., learning something new), science (e.g., reducing data collection costs), and the environment (e.g., less plastic waste in the environment).
