Hiring online adjunct faculty in higher education continues to grow, encompassing nearly half of the overall faculty population. As four-year institutions rely on the benefits of adjunct faculty, they must also invest in their orientation and continuous development. Existing literature confirms the varied approaches to supporting adjunct faculty, deficiency in coordinated programming, and reveals a lack of understanding in adjunct faculty's perception of training delivered. This DMIN action research project aims to design, implement, and evaluate Restored, at NBC, an eight-week addiction recovery process. Restored utilizes individual self-evaluation through Scripture, collective discussion, and tailored sin-cycle diagrams. This phenomenological study explored the lived experiences of African American pastors aged 65 and older as they navigate leadership transitions within small churches in Florida. These churches, characterized by the absence of formal succession planning support from a parent organization, serve as critical pillars in their communities. Guided by Bridges' Transition Theory, this research investigated the emotional, psychological, and spiritual dimensions of pastoral transitions, focusing on the stages of 'Ending, Losing, and Letting Go,' 'Neutral Zone,' and 'New Beginning' (Bridges, 1980). Although the educational and psychological communities have identified the importance of the parent-teacher relationship to the academic success and social benefit of students, difficulties continue to persist in identifying specific strategies for building positive relationships between parents and teachers. This phenomenological study explored the lived experiences of seven elementary school teachers in public schools to examine whether intellectual humility manifested in their reported ability to develop positive relationships with parents. This hermeneutic phenomenological study described educators' experiences implementing reading comprehension strategies with elementary school students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in northern Delaware. The theory guiding this study was theory of mind, which addresses higher-order cognitive skills and impairments, evoking challenges for students with ASD regarding their reading comprehension skills. This hermeneutic phenomenological study aims to understand the perceptions of elementary and secondary string teachers’ experiences with quality professional development from early-, middle-, and late-career stages. This study analyzes perceptions of quality professional development for music teachers, including content-related, evidence-based, applicable, relevant, collaborative, providing feedback, actively involving teachers in learning, longitudinal, coherent, and allowing for reflection. The purpose of this study was to analyze the growth outcomes of participants from a curriculum intervention on divine love with the goal of Christoform obedience. The point of the curriculum was to define divine love properly by using synthesized vantage points derived from precedent literature. These vantage points were developed into a four-step praxis of transformation in divine love. This praxis was the capstone of the curriculum. Three methods of data retrieval were used throughout the intervention process to target intellectual concept improvement, self-assessment improvement, and praxis improvement. Adverse childhood experiences (ACE), and early life stress (ELS) impact neurodevelopment and heighten susceptibility to mental health disorders, including substance use disorder (SUD). This study explored how religiosity and/or spirituality (R/S), framed through Bronfenbrenner’s Ecological Systems Model, supports holistic recovery options for ACE and ELS survivors. Neurobiological changes, such as hippocampal atrophy, can be common among trauma survivors and have been found to contribute to maladaptive behaviors. Emotional maltreatment, beyond physical or sexual trauma, has been found to have a strong link to addiction. PURPOSE: Integrating palliative care into oncology is essential, yet disparities in access and quality persist, particularly in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). The ASCO guidelines advocate for early, routine, interdisciplinary palliative care for patients with advanced cancer. Barriers to implementing these recommendations include resource limitations, inadequate training, and cultural perceptions. Recognizing these challenges is essential for improving equitable access to palliative care worldwide.

Fluorescence is the ability of chemicals and materials to give off visible or invisible light after absorbing radiation such as ultraviolet light. Fluorescence has been documented in several mammalian families, yet Primates, as an order, have received limited attention in this regard. Within Primates, the suborder Strepsirrhini has been particularly overlooked. Strepsirrhines are compelling subjects due to their retention of primitive mammalian characteristics, representing a significant knowledge gap with respect to the occurrence of fluorescing pelage within the class Mammalia. In this paper, we present a Q-Learning optimization algorithm for smart home HVAC systems. The proposed algorithm combines new convex deep neural network models with model predictive control (MPC) techniques. More specifically, new input convex long short-term memory (ICLSTM) models are employed to predict dynamic states in an MPC optimal control technique integrated within a Q-Learning reinforcement learning (RL) algorithm to further improve the learned temporal behaviors of nonlinear HVAC systems. Smart contracts automate access permissions and auditing processes, reducing the risks of unauthorized data sharing. The study evaluates the framework’s performance in secure data handling, highlighting blockchain’s role in fostering patient trust and resilience against cyberattacks in remote healthcare environments.

Decentralized Multi-Hop Federated Reinforcement Learning For Energy-Efficient And Secure Routing In Lorawan-Based Smart City Infrastructure, Harsha Sammangi, Aditya Jagatha, Jun Liu

This paper proposes a decentralized hybrid framework that integrates Federated Learning (FL) and Reinforcement Learning (RL) to enable energy-efficient and secure multi-hop routing in LoRaWAN-based smart city networks. The method allows local model training at gateways and relay nodes, combining real-time routing decisions with privacy-preserving federated aggregation. Key metrics such as residual energy, link quality, and node trust levels are embedded into the reward function, and lightweight encryption plus differential privacy safeguard routing metadata. Simulation results demonstrate substantial gains in packet-delivery ratio, latency, network lifetime and resilience to adversarial attacks when compared to traditional routing protocols.

This study presents a sentiment-driven Decision Support System (DSS) that leverages advanced word embedding techniques—Word2Vec, GloVe, and BERT—to analyze CEO earnings call transcripts and predict stock market reactions. Tra- ditional lexicon-based sentiment models fail to capture the nuanced, contextual language used by executives. By employing pre- trained embeddings and machine learning classifiers, the study enhances the accuracy of sentiment classification. The proposed system integrates quantitative sentiment scores with event study method- ology to assess the impact of CEO tone on stock performance. Thematic analysis further enriches interpretability by identifying recurring patterns in executive com- munication. Results demonstrate that positive CEO …
