Introduction: The suprascapular neurovascular structures traverse the suprascapular notch in a variety of morphologies. However, the suprascapular nerve has always been described as coursing under the superior transverse scapular ligament (STSL) at the level of the notch. This report aims to describe a novel variant of suprascapular neurovascular structures found in a cadaver.

Case report: During the dissection of a cadaveric upper extremity in an 85-year-old Caucasian male, the suprascapular nerve, artery, and vein were found to course above the STSL, with no structures passing through the foramen of the notch itself. A total of 94 upper extremities from 52 …

This study examines the influence of financial literacy on firm performance by integrating state-level financial literacy data with firm-level metrics including Market Capitalization, Tobin’s Q, ROA, ROE, and EBIT. Utilizing data from the National Financial Capability Study (NFCS) and COMPUSTAT for the years 2009 to 2024, and a sample size of 100,126 observations, it highlights how higher levels of financial literacy correlate with improved firm valuation and profitability. The study employs the Financial Literacy Index and its imputed counterpart using the Fully Conditional Specification (FCS) method to address missing data. The confinement of horses to stalls with limited or no turnout time restricts their natural roaming behaviors, which potentially increases stress and behavioral stereotypies. This study investigated the impact of turnout duration on behavioral and physiological stress indicators in healthy horses. Adult horses (n = 11) were enrolled in a 3 treatment (0-, 15-, and 60-minute turnout/day) Latin square design, including 3 12 d experimental periods over 6 weeks. Two Sweet Bran products were evaluated at 13%, 18%, and 23% inclusion of the diet on total tract digestibility and rumen fermentation parameters. Seven ruminally cannulated, heifers were used in a 6 x 7 row-column design with 21-d periods consisting of 16-d adaptation period followed by a 5-d collection. Dietary treatments were designed in a 2 x 3 factorial arrangement with 6 periods. Factors included two Sweet Bran products that differed in particle size (Sweet Bran-SP; GMD = 1.79 mm or Sweet Bran-LP; GMD = 2.51 mm) and three dietary inclusion (13%, 18%, or 23% of diet dry matter). Improved methane (CH₄) mitigation strategies are needed to achieve the greenhouse gas emission goals of the dairy industry. The first experiment was conducted to evaluate the effects of feeding black cumin (Nigella sativa) seed oil and acetate (BCA) on CH₄ production and whole-animal energy utilization. Twelve dry Jersey cows were used in a 2-period crossover design study with 28d periods. The BCA treatment was compared to a control diet with corn oil. This study investigates circularity in service-dominant (SD) logic within sharing economy platforms (SEPs), focusing on how perceived ethics influence customer co-creation and commitment. It further explores the mediating roles of trust and reciprocity and the moderating effect of brand identification. Data from 365 SEP users were analyzed via partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). Results demonstrate that perceived ethics positively affect trust and reciprocity, which subsequently strengthen customers' willingness to co-create. Trust and reciprocity emerged as pivotal mediators, while brand identification significantly moderated their effects on co-creation. Background: Cervical cancer is the fourth leading cause of cancer-related mortality among women globally and remains a prevalent malignancy among Emirati women. This study assessed the quality of life of Emirati women with cervical cancer and identified key factors influencing their well-being to inform targeted interventions. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among 72 Emirati women diagnosed with cervical cancer utilizing the Arabic-translated European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire (EORTC QLQ-C30 and QLQ-CX24). This Article identifies and analyzes the category of state and private regulation that is invisible and subordinates women and other menstruators in ways that impact their privacy, liberty, and equality. Because this category of regulation is pervasive, bringing it to light is critical for considering how best to curb its harm. This Article considers potential legal strategies to counter such menstruation regulation and argues that Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization offers some promise—but more cause for pessimism—regarding the U.S. Constitution’s power to do so. A summary of Montana residents' attitudes towards tourism from the 2024 season. Overall, results from this study show that, in general, Montana residents hold a positive yet balanced attitude towards tourism within the state. For example, a majority of residents feel that the benefits of tourism outweigh the negative impacts, while also being in strong agreement that tourism promotion by the state provides an economic benefit to their community. At the same time, over 40% of respondents felt that the state was becoming overcrowded because of the number of tourists, while close to half felt that their community was dealing …

Reuben Hersh’s 1997 book What is Mathematics, Really? popularized a trend in the philosophy of mathematics that was gaining some traction at the time it was written. This essay examines Hersh’s work within the broader historical context of 19th- and 20th-century developments in mathematics and philosophy of mathematics. It also focuses on Hersh’s antagonism toward the influence of religion on (philosophy of) mathematics, concluding by briefly considering two positions taken by Christian mathematicians associated with ACMS in defense of such a connection.

The incidence of revision anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction is increasing. Anticipated convergence of malpositioned tunnels, significant graft tunnel widening, and bone loss are all indications for performing a 2-staged revision reconstruction. The goal of this Technical Note is to describe a simple bone-grafting technique for placing allograft bone matrix into femoral and tibial bone tunnels during the first stage of a 2-stage revision anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction.

Digital gig platforms have transformed labor markets globally. This dissertation critically examines the intersections of platform design and worker experiences through four interrelated studies. The research identifies how differences between on-demand and cloud work platforms shape identity, trust, and autonomy.

Drawing on Cultural Domain Analysis, the first study proposes a practical classification system for digital gig platforms. Experts categorize platforms as on-demand or cloud work, avoiding theoretical subtypes like skill level. This framework supports targeted analyses of platform design and regulatory implications.

Colon cancer accounts for nearly 10% of all cancer diagnoses annually. Microsatellite instability-high (MSI-H) colon cancer is a particularly aggressive subtype of colon cancer that is known to have a significant number of genetic mutations. Microsatellite instability (MSI) refers to genetic hypermutability caused by the dysfunction of the DNA mismatch repair (MMR) system, which leads to errors in repetitive DNA sequences and is a hallmark of certain cancers, including MSI-H colon cancer. Many of these are made from synthetic materials that do not break down, contributing significantly to environmental pollution. This project features step-by-step instructional videos I created to teach the basics of mending, skills that are no longer commonly taught. Suicide has become the second leading cause of death in adolescents in the United States (CDC, 2023). To prevent suicide among school-aged children, the state of Rhode Island enacted the Nathan Bruno and Jason Flatt Act (2021-H5353, 2021-S003) in July of 2021. The legislation requires teachers, students (Grade 6 through 12), and hired school personnel to be annually trained in suicide awareness and prevention. In addition, each public school district must adopt a policy addressing produces relating to suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention.
