Reliable software rollout is important; yet network errors are costly to diagnose, and a new software rollout takes substantial time. This disclosure describes techniques to automatically diagnose network errors in a fleet of computers, to pinpoint the error to an old or a new software version, and to enable decision regarding whether to continue a software rollout or to abort it, e.g., rollback the new software version. Data from software stacks, error logs, network topology daemons, and …

Light Field Sensitive Polarization Detectors Jun 2025

Light Field Sensitive Polarization Detectors

Defensive Publications Series

Embodiments of light field sensitive polarization detectors are described herein. Prior methods for measuring the 3D profile of an object utilize the polarization properties of detected light, captured by intensity-only, RGB, or polarization-sensitive cameras. However, these methods require knowledge or assumptions of several parameters, including the polarization state of the scene illumination light, the spatial distribution of light sources, and the object's material properties. While existing techniques can provide a certain level of accuracy, they are limited by the need for additional information about the scene or light field properties to enhance the precision of reconstructions.

Early Recurrent Midgut Volvulus Post Ladd's Procedure In A Newborn: A Case Report, Nicole Clarke, Joanna Sajdlowska, John Paul Bustamante, Nishith Bhattacharyya

Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine Departmental Research

Ladd's procedure is the standard surgical intervention for intestinal malrotation. Although generally curative, rare cases of early postoperative complications, including adhesions or recurrent volvulus, can necessitate reoperation. We present the case of a full-term newborn girl who underwent emergent Ladd's procedure on Day 3 of life for malrotation with volvulus. She was discharged on postoperative Day 17 but returned the following day with recurrent bilious emesis. Imaging suggested partial obstruction. Exploratory laparotomy revealed recurrent volvulus with two twists at the duodenojejunal junction, which was successfully reduced. The patient recovered well and was discharged on postoperative Day 8. This case underscores …
