The present study extends an existing mediation model of religiosity and socio-cognitive variables influence on religious tolerance by considering three religious co-variates (informal religion/personal spirituality, formalised religiosity, and God image) as antecedents. The sample for this study is recruited through university Christian student associations. The results will be discussed from an Adventist perspective challenging contemporary discourse of religiosity vs spirituality, and image of God.

The Bocaue Pagoda Festival has been celebrated annually in the Philippine province of Bulacan since the 1850s to honor a miraculous event in history, where a local woman was saved from drowning in a river by holding onto a floating cross. Since then, the fluvial parade, which consisted of ceremonial barges held every first Sunday of July, steadily gained popularity and attracted pilgrims from within and outside the locality. On July 2, 1993, however, an unfortunate event struck when a large pagoda carrying hundreds of pilgrims and devotees sank due to overloading that resulted in the deaths of 266 people. …

This presentation examines the motivations behind pilgrimage-like travel among members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) to religious heritage sites such as Palmyra, Nauvoo, and Salt Lake City. Although LDS doctrine does not include a formal theology of pilgrimage, these journeys fulfill spiritual, social, and pedagogical functions that align closely with traditional pilgrimage frameworks. Drawing from the interdisciplinary fields of pilgrimage studies, religious tourism, and Latter-day Saint theology, this research conceptualizes LDS heritage travel as a form of modern, constructed pilgrimage grounded in processes of place-making, memory, identity, and faith reaffirmation.

This study explores how youth involvement in decision-making and leadership preparation influences evangelistic outreach. Using Gen Z data (N = 1,272), quantile regression showed decision-making involvement significantly predicted outreach participation. Leadership preparation also correlated positively, with its moderating effect varying across levels of outreach engagement.

Using the quasi-experimental design, this study assessed the role of coaching on school heads’ servant leadership in Tanzania. Twenty-seven employees assessed nine school heads’ servant leadership qualities before and after coaching sessions. Posttest leadership qualities results were significantly higher than pretest results. Therefore, coaching significantly improved the servant leadership qualities.

This study examined the importance of spiritual well-being, hope, Psychological Body Armor TM (PBA), and basic psychological needs in predicting low vicarious traumatization among trained Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) responders. Results showed that spiritual well-being, PBA, and autonomy were significant predictors of lower vicarious trauma.

Logistic regression (N = 5,682) revealed that cultural sensitivity, church inclusivity, and age of membership significantly predicted “Intensifiers”—members seeking greater personal and program involvement. A negative interaction suggests inclusivity is less influential for late joiners, who may be more driven by personal conviction than by institutional inclusivity.
