การศึกษาการใช้ปุ๋ยและสารเคมีกำจัดศัตรูพืชของสนามกอล์ฟโดยการสัมภาษณ์ผู้ดูแลสนามพบว่า สนามกอล์ฟในส่วนงานราชการ มีการใช้ปุ๋ยอินทรีย์เพื่อลดค่าใช้จ่ายในการดูแลสนาม ส่วนใน สนามกอล์ฟของเอกชนที่ต้องการเน้นให้เห็นความสวยงามของสนามหญ้าส่วนมากมีการนำปุ๋ยเคมีซึ่งมีราคาแพงมาใช้ โดยเน้นการใช้ที่กรีนเป็นหลักเนื่องจากเป็นจุดสำคัญที่สุดของสนามกอล์ฟ การเลือกประเภทของปุ๋ยเคมีมีความแตกต่างกันไปตามพื้นที่ของสนาม ฤดูกาล และประเภทของหญ้า ส่วนวิธีการกำจัดศัตรูพืชที่สนามกอล์ฟส่วนใหญ่นำมาใช้ คือ การใช้สารเคมี ซึ่งจะใช้เฉพาะจุดที่มีความสำคัญ เช่น กรีน ส่วนในบริเวณอื่นๆจะให้ความสำคัญน้อยลงเช่น แฟร์เวย์ ราฟ การใช้สารเคมีกำจัดศัตรูพืชในสนามกอล์ฟ มีแนวการใช้แยกเป็น 2 ประเภท คือ เพื่อป้องกันศัตรูพืช และเพื่อกำจัดศัตรูพืชเมื่อเกิดการระบาดขึ้นแล้ว นอกจากนี้ยังได้มีการนำวิธีทางชีวภาพเช้ามาใช้สำหรับกำจัดแมลงในสนามหญ้า แนวทางการจัดการการใช้ ปุ๋ยและสารกำจัดศัตรูพืชของสนามกอล์ฟ ได้แก่ การใช้ปุ๋ยอินทรีย์ทั้งนี้เพื่อทำให้ดินอยู่ในสภาพดีเหมาะกับการเจริญของจุลินทรีย์ สัตว์ในดิน พร้อมทั้งการทำเกษตรกรรม ซึ่งจะช่วยปรับระบบนิเวศภายในสนามทำให้ศัตรูพืชลดลง การใช้หญ้าพันธุ์พื้นเมือง การใช้สารเคมีเฉพาะพื้นที่ประกอบกับความเชี่ยวชาญของผู้ดูแลสนามจะทำให้ปริมาณสารเคมีที่ใช้ลดลง การกำจัดศัตรูพืชแบบธรรมชาติกิเป็นอิกวิธีหนึ่งซึ่งจะช่วยลด การใช้สารเคมีและค่าใช้จ่ายการดูแลสนามให้ลดลง

การสร้างคู่มือ เรื่อง การมีส่วนร่วมจัดการขยะชุมชน สำหรับนักเรียนระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนต้น (The Development Of Soild Waste Management Participation Manual For Lower Secondary Education Students), ระเบียบ ภูผา

การศึกษาครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสร้างคู่มือ เรื่อง การมีส่วนร่วมจัดการขยะชุมชน สำหรับนักเรียน ระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนต้น และศึกษาผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน ความตระหนัก พฤติกรรมการมีส่วนร่วมจัดการขยะชุมชน และความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างความรู้ที่ได้รับกับพฤติกรรมการมีส่วนร่วมจัดการขยะชุมชนของนักเรียน วิธีการดำเนินการวิจัยมี 3 ขั้นตอน คือ ขั้นตอนที่ 1 การสร้างคู่มีอ เรื่อง การมีส่วนร่วมจัดการ ขยะชุมชน ประกอบด้วยความคิดรวบยอด จุดประสงค์การเรียนรู้ การกำหนดรูปเล่ม และนำไปให้ผู้เชี่ยวชาญตรวจสอบและประเมิน พร้อมทั้งปรับปรุงแก้ไข ขั้นตอนที่ 2 การพัฒนาคุณภาพของคู่มือโดยทดลอง 2 ครั้ง ครั้งที่ 1 จำนวน 3 คน และ 30 คน ตามลำดับ ขั้นตอนที่ 3 การนำคู่มือไปใช้จริงกับกลุ่มตัวอย่าง การสุ่มตัวอย่างใช้วิธีการสุ่มหลายขั้นตอน คือ เลือกโรงเรียนแบบเจาะจง (Purposive Sampling) โรงเรียน วัดเขมาภิรตาราม แล้วสุ่มห้องเรียนจากชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 จำนวน 7 ห้องเรียน จำนวน 50 คน ทำการทดลองวัดผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน และประเมินค่าความตระหนักและพฤติกรรมการมีส่วนร่วมจัดการขยะชุมชนก่อนและหลังการทดลอง (The Pre-test and Post-test Control Group Design) และ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้ ค่าสถิติร้อยละ มัชฌิมเลขคณิต เบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน สถิติ t-test และสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์แบบเพียร์สัน
ผลการศึกษาพบว่า เมื่อเปรียบเทียบคะแนนเฉลี่ยผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน ค่าความตระหนัก และ พฤติกรรมการมีส่วนร่วมจัดการขยะชุมชนของนักเรียนระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนต้นหลังการอ่านคู่มือ มีคะแนนเฉลี่ยผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน ค่าความตระหนัก และพฤติกรรมการมีส่วนร่วมสูงกว่า ก่อนการอ่าน คู่มืออย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ และพบว่าความรู้และพฤติกรรมการมีส่วนร่วมจัดการขยะชุมชนของนักเรียนระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนต้นไม่มีความสัมพันธ์กันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ

BACKGROUNDTreatment of tubo-ovarian high-grade serous carcinoma (HGSC) includes cytoreductive surgery, platinum-based chemotherapy, and often poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) inhibitors. While homologous recombination (HR) deficiency is a well-established predictor of therapy sensitivity, over 50% of HR-proficient HGSCs also exhibit sensitivity. BACKGROUND: The serum soluble fms-like tyrosine kinase-1 (sFlt-1) to placental growth factor (PlGF) ratio is an established tool for predicting preeclampsia in many countries but is not widely adopted in the United States. BACKGROUND: There is no prospective, US multicenter study of COVID-19-associated pulmonary aspergillosis (CAPA). CAPA definitions do not differentiate invasive aspergillosis (IPA) from colonization. Validity of single mycologic test results is unclear.

METHODS: We performed a prospective 7-center US study of mechanically ventilated adults with COVID-19 (April 2021-May 2022). Mycoses Study Group (MSGERC) CAPA criteria include host and clinical factors, imaging and test results (histopathology; bronchoalveolar lavage [BAL] culture and/or BAL or serum galactomannan-immunoassay). Genomic analysis of parasites can deepen our understanding of their transmission, population structure, and important biological characteristics. Onchocerciasis (river blindness), caused by the parasitic nematode Onchocerca volvulus, involves adult worms residing in subcutaneous nodules that produce larval-stage microfilariae (mf), which are routinely detected in the skin for diagnosis. Whole-genome studies of mf are limited; most analyses have focused on the mitochondrial genome. Macrophages infiltrate solid tumors and either support survival or induce cancer cell death through phagocytosis or cytotoxicity. To uncover regulators of macrophage cytotoxicity towards cancer cells, we perform two co-culture CRISPR screens using CAR-macrophages targeting different tumor associated antigens. Both identify ATG9A as an important regulator of this cytotoxic activity. In vitro and in vivo, ATG9A depletion in cancer cells sensitizes them to macrophage-mediated killing. Proteomic and lipidomic analyses reveal that ATG9A deficiency impairs the cancer cell response to macrophage-induced plasma membrane damage through defective lysosomal exocytosis, reduced ceramide production, and disrupted caveolar endocytosis. OBJECTIVE: To explore differences in participation, secondary health complications, and the use of assistive devices and personal assistance among people with long-term SCI in Sweden and the USA.

SETTING: Community dwelling individuals with SCI in Sweden and USA.

METHODS: Secondary analysis of data collected via PARTS-Mv3 among individuals living with SCI in Sweden (n = 73) and in the USA (n = 45). BACKGROUND: Longitudinal studies examining mental health outcomes among older (≥66 years) Asian, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (ANHPI) women diagnosed with breast cancer are limited. We evaluated incident depression after breast cancer among specific groups of older ANHPI compared with older non-Hispanic White (NHW) women. Predictors of depression and the risk of death following early onset of depression after breast cancer were also evaluated.

However, investigating the complex wiring diagram, spatial organization, transcriptional, and epigenetic landscapes of brain-wide projection neurons is hampered by the lack of efficient and easily adoptable tools. BACKGROUND: Mucopolysaccharidosis II (MPS II) is a rare, life-limiting lysosomal storage disease caused by deficient iduronate-2-sulfatase activity. The current standard of care for MPS II is intravenous enzyme replacement therapy (ERT), which has been shown to improve somatic signs and symptoms and to increase life expectancy by approximately 12 years. This study reported on the somatic disease burden and clinical requirements of adult male patients in the Hunter Outcome Survey (ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier: NCT03292887).

Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) is a group of hereditary disorders that affects collagen synthesis. In the wrist, pain and midcarpal laxity may affect up to 70% of EDS patients. The mainstay treatment of midcarpal instability in patients with ligamentous injury but not EDS includes orthotics, physiotherapy, and activity modification. These methods of conservative treatment may be unsuccessful in controlling instability in the longer term. SIGNIFICANCE: Optical functional neuroimaging relies upon accurate anatomical models to provide optimal data registration and image reconstruction.

AIM: We establish and validate a robust photogrammetric algorithm for scalp morphology that utilizes 3-dimensional (3D) imaging with a photogrammetric cap to provide individualized scalp morphology estimation through hair in the absence of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

APPROACH: The scalp morphology estimation uses a flexible, neoprene cap and 3D-printed photogrammetric modules with fiducials. OBJECTIVE: Our objective was to determine if oxytocin discontinuation in the active phase of labor impacts the rate of cesarean delivery compared to continuation of oxytocin.

DATA SOURCES: This study was a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials. BACKGROUND: EpCAM (epithelial cell adhesion molecule) is a key regulator of epithelial cell-cell adhesion, signal transduction, tissue regeneration, and serves as a stem cell marker. It is frequently overexpressed in epithelial cancers and is linked to tumor progression, survival, and metastasis. However, the functional impact of EpCAM mutations in cancer remains poorly understood.

METHODS: To investigate the role of EpCAM mutations, we performed a comprehensive analysis of cancer cohorts from multiple genomic datasets, identifying novel somatic EpCAM mutations across diverse epithelial cancers. BACKGROUND: Development of readily available Rapid COVID-19 Antigen tests essential for promptly identifying SARS-CoV2 infection and preventing its spread.

METHODS: This study evaluated the clinical performance of the Healgen Rapid COVID-19 antigen test as a point-of-care diagnostic tool with 806 evaluable subjects who were within 6 days post-symptom onset. The results from the Healgen test were compared to the results from Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) approved SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR tests.

RESULTS: Out of the 806 evaluable subjects, 140 tested positive and 640 tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 with the Healgen COVID-19 test, showing good agreement with the EUA RT-PCR results. There were …

OBJECTIVE: Determine the association between diabetes and metabolic syndrome (MetS) burden (number of MetS criteria fulfilled) and pain, neuropathy severity, and fiber type involvement in individuals with established polyneuropathy.

METHODS: The Peripheral Neuropathy Research Registry was queried for individuals with type 1 and type 2 diabetes (DPN) and non-diabetic peripheral neuropathy (cryptogenic sensory polyneuropathy and prediabetes) using cross-sectional observational data. Associations between diabetes or MetS burden and pain presence (yes/no), neuropathy severity (Total Neuropathy Score reduced), and fiber type involvement (pinprick, vibration, and proprioception examination-small, large, mixed) using logistic, linear, and multinomial regression models were determined.

BACKGROUND: Identifying changes in geographic disparities of cancer mortality reveals locations where cancer prevention and control efforts should be focused/targeted. We use recent cancer surveillance data to demonstrate the geographic disparity of major cancer mortality rates in the United States and its shift compared with previous data.

METHODS: This cross-sectional study used the 2018 to 2022 county-level mortality rates of colorectal, lung, breast, and prostate cancers from the Centers for Disease Control mortality data. IMPORTANCE: Associations between childhood obesity and brain microstructural differences have been observed. It remains unknown whether these associations are driven by sex-specific excessive weight gain. Restriction spectrum imaging characterizes brain tissue microstructural health via water diffusion, where the restricted normalized isotropic (RNI) compartment assesses neuronal and glial cellularity, which may reflect neuroinflammation, synaptic pruning, or both.

PURPOSE: To evaluate changes in limb symmetry index (LSI) in thigh circumference and single-leg hop for distance (SLHD) after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) out to 18 months postoperatively and their association to changes in dynamic postural stability after ACLR out to 24 months.

METHODS: Patients were prospectively enroled after ACLR and followed up at 3-month intervals. Thigh circumference was measured preoperatively out to 18 months postoperatively, dynamic postural stability out to 24 months, and SLHD from 6 to 18 months following ACLR.
