The alignment between textbook demands and learner proficiency in a CEFR A1–A2 General English course (Eng. 05225) was examined for Psychology students at a Saudi public university, using Evolve Special Edition7, focusing specifically on textbook suitability, learner struggle, and cognitive load across the four language skills. Document analysis of 23 curriculum artefacts and structured interviews with five teachers and 16 students, from across the proficiency levels, were qualitatively triangulated to support identification of the five key elements raised by the students and teachers of this study. Manual optimization of these context windows remains highly complex. To address this issue, a method is disclosed wherein context windows are organized into a hierarchical schema of atomic blocks. A joint optimization algorithm is utilized to simultaneously refine top-level inputs, atomic block roles, and child block orderings. Objective On a Telemetry unit at a level 1 trauma center public safety net hospital in the Bay Area, a review was conducted of 45 reported falls over the past year. The analysis uncovered inconsistencies in fall-risk assessment techniques, underuse of continuous observation among high-risk patients, and an absence of standardized purposeful rounding. These data points suggest existing tools were not being applied consistently, and need reinforcement and updating.

This study investigates the application of red palm oil (RPO) as an alternative vegetable oil resource to substitute petroleum-based plasticizers, which have environmental and health concerns, in carbon black (CB)-filled SSBR/BR tire tread compounds. The plasticizing effects of RPO were thoroughly evaluated by comparing them with a commercial bio-based plasticizer, Epoxidized Soybean Oil (ESBO), and two safer petroleum-based oils, Naphthenic Oil (NYNAS) and Treated Distillate Aromatic Extract (TDAE). A modified eye bolt from the David Arm Manhole Storage Tank underwent thorough metallurgical study due to the consequences of the bolt's malfunction during operation. Safety issues arose when the manhole door detached during operation. The mechanical testing and chemical composition analysis of the bolts indicated they were manufactured from an ASTM A193 Grade B7 material used for high-temperature bolting. This material did not conform to the engineering drawing, which mentioned SA 563A, which is about nuts, not bolts. Background. Microdissection testicular sperm extraction is the guideline standard for non-obstructive azoospermia (NOA), but fails in roughly half of men (approximately 52% retrieval versus 35% for conventional extraction). It is invasive, costly, and least successful in Sertoli-cell-only and maturation-arrest histology. These limits motivate pharmacologic alternatives both for independent sperm induction and to potentially raise surgical retrieval rates.

Methods. Narrative synthesis of literature that integrates the surgical baseline, established hormonal therapy, retinoic acid mechanisms, and isotretinoin’s clinical and safety record. Non-NOA data (oligospermia, dermatology, hypogonadotropic hypogonadism) was used as contextual support.

Counselors are trained to anticipate on-time retirement-linked risks but increasingly are serving women pursuing off-time midlife career reinvention within ageist, sexist, racist, and ableist systems of power. Grounded in the author’s personal narrative, this perspective article highlights the compounded burdens of gendered ageism, biopsychosocial aging, and non-prototypical professional acceleration for midlife women. Built upon Crenshaw’s (1989) framework, chronological intersectionality is introduced as a way for counselors to conceptualize the concurrent biopsychosocial and systemic pressures and marginalization that can occur when age-expected norms collide with career changes for midlife women. Implications for clinical practice are described.

Problem

            Despite improvements in central line-associated bloodstream infection (CLABSI) attribution, variability in Kamishibai card (K-card) observation practices and documentation limited the unit's ability to identify, learn from, and correct persistent deviations from expected practice. Baseline data showed frequent incomplete documentation and a pattern of completing K-card observations outside bedside shift report.

Context

This project took place in a 20-bed medical-surgical ICU, using the existing K-card process to support high-reliability prevention of hospital-acquired conditions (HAC). Baseline assessment revealed inconsistent observation workflows, incomplete documentation, and unclear roles and expectations.

Objective: Patient falls remain a leading cause of preventable harm among hospitalized adults and carry significant clinical and financial consequences. On an adult medical-surgical telemetry unit at this study site, a one-year review of 45 fall events found that most falls occurred among patients classified as high risk on the Morse Fall Scale, frequently without continuous observation or consistent purposeful rounding. Aim: The aim of this project is to reduce falls on the telemetry unit to the national benchmark of 3.2 falls per 1,000 patient days within a 6-month period. The locating-chromatic number of a graph combines proper vertex coloring with vertex identification through distances to color classes. Although this parameter has been studied for many graph families, general results for bipartite graphs remain limited. Bipartite graphs contain structural symmetries, especially within each partite set, making it difficult to obtain distinct color codes. This paper establishes lower and upper bounds for the locating-chromatic number of bipartite graphs using neighborhood equivalence classes in the two partite sets.
