New Characterizations Of Weights In Dynamic Inequalities Of Hardy's Type On Time Scales, Mario Krnic, Mahmoud M. Osman, Samir H. Saker

The main aim of this paper is to establish some new characterizations of the weights in Hardy-type dynamic inequality, dual Hardy-type inequality, andreverse Hardy-type dynamic inequality on time scales. Some integral and discrete inequalities due to Copson, Leindler, and Hyun and Kim will bededuced as special cases. Moreover, new dynamic inequalities via convexity are proved.

Analytical Solution And Stability Of Ψ-Prabhakar Delayed Systems: Application To Antibiotic Production, Mustafa Aydin

The analytical solution of the linear ψ -Prabhakar delay differential equations is explored using the method of variation of parameters, in which a ψ -general delayed exponential matrix function is introduced. The ψ -Prabhakar calculus is enhanced in terms of the semi-group property, inversion results, and several simplified calculations and relations. The system's stability is analyzed within the framework of Ulam-Hyers stability. Finally, the theoretical findings are validated through an application to antibiotic production.

Integral Extensions On Growth And Higher Derivatives Of A Polynomial, Nirmal Kumar Singha, Fahreddi̇n G. Abdullayev, Barchad Chanam

A well-known theorem due to Ankeny and Rivlin states that if p(z) is a polynomial of degree n such that p(z) has no zero in |z| < 1, then
max_|z|=R≥1 |p(z)| ≤ (R^{n + 1} / 2) max_|z|=1 |p(z)|.
This research examines the polynomial p(z), ensuring that it has no zero in the disk |z| < k, where k ≥ 1. At the same time, we investigate the s^th derivative of this polynomial, where 0 ≤ s < n. In our effort to establish integral formulations of the inequalities related to the derivatives of this class of polynomials, we have successfully extended and generalized Ankeny and Rivlin’s inequality to integral settings. Additionally, part of our findings provides integral analogs of results by Mir [J. Anal., 27 (2019), 851−857]. Moreover, another aspect of our work leads to an improvement in the result of Jain [Turk. J. Math., 31 (2007), 89−94], which we have also verified using an example. We have also compared our results with a previously known result using this numerical example, where the bounds that are in terms of integral means are estimated numerically by numerical integration using Simpson’s 1/3^rd rule and illustrate graphically the obtained inequalities as regards sharpness.

In the shadows of Zambia’s rapidly growing urban and peri-urban communities lies an invisible but mounting threat, the mismanagement of septic waste. While national dialogue often focuses on economic development, climate change, or energy, the sanitation crisis receives little public attention, yet it poses an equally severe risk to public health, environmental integrity, and sustainable urbanization. Zambia’s poor septic waste management, if left unaddressed, is a disaster in waiting.

Background

Older persons’ use of digital technology is becoming more prominent due to society’s heavy reliance on mobile and web applications. A positive attitude has been detected among older persons regarding the use of mobile solutions. Digital technology is increasingly used in the provision of health and social care, which can help older persons continue to be independent, and in turn can contribute to older persons’ overall well-being and sense of safety. However, current digital technology has been found to be difficult for older persons. Additional explorations into older persons’ experiences using digital technology are therefore relevant.

In this paper, we conduct a thorough analysis of the qualitative behavior of solutions to three different types of difference equations of the Volterra type. Utilizing the principles of discrete calculus and various well-known inequalities, we have presented our findings. To conclude our theoretical findings, we provide several examples that illustrate full alignment with the findings.

Food allergy (FA) is a prevalent and often severe condition affecting approximately 8% of U.S. children (Gupta et al., 2018; Robson & Assa’ad, 2024). The responsibility for daily management of FA, including making critical health management decisions, often falls to caregivers. While the etiology of most cases of Parkinson's disease (PD) are idiopathic, it has been estimated that 5-10% of PD arise from known genetic mutations. The first mutations described that leads to the development of an autosomal dominant form of PD are in the SNCA gene that codes for the protein alpha-synuclein (α-syn). α-syn is an abundant presynaptic protein that is natively disordered and whose function is still unclear. In PD, α-syn misfolds into multimeric b-pleated sheets that aggregate in neurons (Lewy Bodies/neurites) and spread throughout the neuraxis in a pattern that aligns with disease progression. Allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplant (allo-HCT) is underutilized in adults aged ≥70 years. Morbidity, often driven by graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), is considered a major barrier to its use. The BMT CTN 1703 trial (ClinicalTrials.gov identifier: NCT03959241) randomly assigned adults with hematologic malignancies undergoing allo-HCT after reduced intensity conditioning to receive either posttransplant cyclophosphamide, mycophenolate mofetil, and tacrolimus (PTCy) or tacrolimus and methotrexate (Tac/MTX) for GVHD prophylaxis. Overall study results revealed superior GVHD-free, relapse-free survival (GRFS) with PTCy-based prophylaxis. We aim to expand units coordination and construction assessment by examining the significance of embodiment and teacher noticing, especially in relation to recent developments in equitable mathematics teacher noticing research. We outline our approach as mathematics teacher educators with a wide range of expertise, wherein we investigated how prospective elementary mathematics teachers (PTs) notice students' units construction and coordination through embodied actions and the impact of incorporating a focus on embodiment in assessment. Perceptual similarity metrics are used for quantitatively evaluating the similarity between two images as it would appear to human perception. These metrics aim to mimic the human visual system, providing a more accurate assessment of visual similarity. Such visual assessments are considered to be more advanced than simple pixel-wise comparisons such as ℓ_p norm distances. Thus, a human-like assessment of visual similarity, makes the metrics valuable for applications in image compression, restoration, and enhancement, where evaluating perceptual quality is crucial.
