This paper explores the epistemological role of love in the mystical frameworks of Muhyiddin Ibn ‘Arabi and Thomas Aquinas, two significant figures of medieval philosophy and theology. Though rooted in distinct monotheistic traditions—Islamic mysticism and Christian scholasticism—both thinkers share a foundation in Aristotelian thought, from which they derive skepticism regarding the intellect's capacity to fully comprehend or relate to the divine. Instead, they elevate love as the essential means to attaining knowledge of God. This capstone project explored strategies to enhance parent confidence and engagement in pediatric occupational therapy. Guided by a needs assessment drawn from literature, clinical observation, and parent input, the project identified a lack of accessible, affirming educational materials for families. In response, strengths-based, plain-language resources were developed and distributed in both print and digital formats. These materials supported parent understanding of therapeutic goals and encouraged home-based carryover of clinical strategies. Additionally, participation in small-group summer programming and one-on-one parent conversations provided insight into family needs and informed the resource design process. This capstone project aimed to enhance the quality of life, well-being, and occupational participation of individuals with dementia residing in nursing homes through the implementation of an eight-week occupational therapy-based program. By addressing unmet needs through personalized, meaningful activities such as cognitive stimulation, physical activities, and social engagement, this project seeks to reduce cognitive decline and improve emotional well-being. The SLUMS and GDS were used to evaluate the program’s effectiveness. Ultimately, this project sought to understand occupational therapy’s role in supporting dementia care in nursing homes.

This Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) project addressed the critical underrepresentation of nurses on healthcare boards by implementing an evidence-based intervention to improve board readiness among emerging nurse leaders in Arkansas. The purpose of the project was to assess and enhance nurses’ self-perceived competencies in governance through a structured educational program and the SHIP-BC© readiness assessment tool. A quasi-experimental pre-post design was utilized with honorees from two leadership programs within a statewide nursing organization. Participants first completed the SHIP-BC© survey to establish baseline perceptions of board readiness across domains of analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Nurses are essential to the healthcare system, yet their demanding 12-hour shifts in hospital settings often leave little opportunity for adequate rest. The absence of structured rest breaks not only endangers nurses' well-being but may also compromise the quality of patient care. This quality improvement (QI) project aimed to evaluate the effects of implementing structured, mandatory 15-minute rest breaks on nurse burnout and job satisfaction. Optical functional brain mapping presents a versatile, portable, and cost-effective alternative to conventional functional imaging techniques such as functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). However, optical imaging does not inherently capture anatomical details and relies on existing structural imaging to generate accurate brain maps. By employing head models that incorporate participant-specific anatomy, imaging array placement, and the optical properties of underlying tissues, optical functional brain mapping can achieve results comparable to those of fMRI. Despite advances in registration techniques, the creation of atlas-derived yet participant-specific head models remains a significant challenge. Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) is a form of dysautonomia characterized by a heart rate (HR) increase ≥30 beats/minute (bpm) within 10 minutes of standing from a supine position, without a significant blood pressure drop. POTS can diminish quality of life with symptoms including tachycardia, headaches, and fatigue. Despite established diagnostic criteria, POTS is often underrecognized or misdiagnosed due to its episodic nature. Symptoms may not consistently be present during diagnostic testing, leading to false negatives during in-office testing. Immuno-oncology and the advent of immunotherapies, in particular immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs), have fundamentally altered the way we treat cancer. Yet only a small subset of patients actually responds to ICIs, and many face significant adverse effects, making the accurate selection of patients for ICIs essential to the work of immuno-oncology. Immune biomarkers, such as programmed death-ligand 1, microsatellite instability/defective mismatch repair, and tumor mutational burden have been developed for patient selection and stratification for ICIs, though their predictive abilities remain limited. This study aimed to evaluate whether a single-beam or two-beam configuration in GRID therapy offers superior tumor coverage to the Gross target volume(GTV) and organ-at-risk (OAR) sparing in head and neck cancer patients. Ten patients previously treated with GRID therapy to the left neck were retrospectively selected. For each patient, single-beam and two-beam plans were generated using consistent field size and energy. Effective monitoring of reinforced concrete structures requires techniques that detect early-stage material change and active, localized cracking. This study investigates a combined structural health monitoring approach using passive acoustic emission and active ultrasonic methods on a full-scale reinforced concrete bridge column subjected to reverse-cyclic lateral loading. Active monitoring, based on coda wave interferometry, was used to track changes in wave velocity and waveforms, while passive acoustic emission monitoring was used to detect crack activity. The instrumentation consisted of three embedded ultrasonic transducers and three surface-mounted acoustic emission sensors. Conversational turn-taking skills are needed to succeed in most conversational interactions. Timing of turn-taking is crucial for young deaf signers, who need early, accessible, and consistent input in a signed and/or spoken language. For deaf children who acquire a language in either modality, they must acquire appropriate turn-taking skills. Without these abilities, children may miss critical language input, and in a cascading effect–they may miss opportunities both for input (and thus new knowledge) and expressive language. The first generation of transiting planet searches in globular clusters yielded no detections, and in hindsight only placed occurrence rate limits slightly higher than the measured occurrence rate in the higher-metallicity Galactic thick disk. To improve these limits, we present the first results of a new wide-field search for transiting hot Jupiters in the globular cluster 47 Tucanae (47 Tuc). We have observed 47 Tuc as part of the Multiband Imaging Survey for High-Alpha PlanetS. The court found that the petition was fatally defective because it failed to plead the full rent regulatory status of the tenancy. Specifically, it omitted the existence of a regulatory agreement between the landlord and HPD, which governs the tenancy and affects the tenant's rights. The court held that this omission, which deprived the court of an understanding of the entire regulatory framework, was not a mere technicality and warranted dismissal.

Boulder-coral populations, particularly Orbicella spp., have declined recently in the Caribbean and Florida due mainly to stony coral tissue loss disease, leading to their classification as threatened in the US Endangered Species Act (ESA). Over 300 corals>2 m in diameter were previously surveyed and mapped in southeast Florida; the majority being Orbicella faveolata up to 320 years old. Many have died or suffered extensive tissue loss, leading to low densities. Restoring healthy tissue to their structures is vital for reinstating ecological function and staving off bioerosion. Therefore, O. faveolata fragments of healthy-looking disease-resistant donor colonies were propagated through …
