The United States is at a particularly important economic and environmental crossroads. To ensure energy independence and the sustainability of the economy, the government should help consumers and businesses in the United States evolve away from burning fossil fuels towards using renewable energy-especially solar power. Simultaneously, the government needs to foster the reduction of pollution and address climate change for the long-term health and welfare of society. In short, this article uses current events and the findings of a four-year study evaluating renewable energy equipment to propose draft legislation to address these critical issues.

Child Influencers, or “kidfluencers,” have become prevalent on social media platforms and have amassed great fame. Kidfluencers are capable of making millions of dollars each year, but the industry remains largely unregulated because these children are not subject to typical child labor laws. Kidfluencers often suffer from financial and sexual exploitation, and psychological harm as a result of this exploitation. There are few effective federal laws to protect kidfluencers from exploitation and harm on social media, which has allowed kidfluencer exploitation to run rampant. The United States agricultural sector heavily relies on migrant labor, with undocumented workers composing a substantial share of the workforce. As the Trump Administration initiates its mass deportation policy, this article examines the far-reaching economic and legal consequences that such actions would impose on American agriculture. Mass deportation not only threatens to destabilize food production and inflate food prices, but it also exposes the longstanding legal neglect of farmworkers, whose labor protections remain fragile or non-existent under current U.S. law. This article analyzes the exploitation of agricultural workers embedded in the United States’ history, critiques the inadequacies of current programs …

Precision oncology uses omics-based diagnostic technologies to inform histology-agnostic cancer treatment. To date, health system implementation remains limited owing to high uncertainty in regulatory and reimbursement evidence submissions. In this perspective, we describe a life-cycle approach to the evaluation of precision oncology technologies that addresses evidentiary uncertainty and is grounded in real-world evidence (RWE) derived using data routinely collected by healthcare systems. We consider the role for RWE in international regulatory and reimbursement decision-making, review common biases for observational precision oncology evaluations, make specific recommendations for RWE study design and analysis, and specify healthcare system requirements for data collection. Acoustic Wave Manipulation Through Sparse Robotic Actuation, Tristan Shah, Noam Smilovich, Feruza Amirkulova, Samer Gerges, Stas Tiomkin

Recent advancements in robotics, control, and machine learning have facilitated progress in the challenging area of object manipulation. These advancements include, among others, the use of deep neural networks to represent dynamics that are partially observed by robot sensors, as well as effective control using sparse control signals. In this work, we explore a more general problem: the manipulation of acoustic waves, which are partially observed by a robot capable of influencing the waves through spatially sparse actuators. This problem holds great potential for the design of new artificial materials, ultrasonic cutting tools, energy harvesting, and other applications. We develop …

The present invention provides collagen-binding agents that can be used to treat wounds, ischemic heart disease, and other conditions. The collagen-binding agents comprise a therapeutic agent, a protease cleavage site, and a collagen-binding domain. The present invention further provides pharmaceutical compositions and biomedical devices comprising the disclosed collagen-binding agents, as well as methods for treating a condition using the collagen-binding agents.

Emerging Clinical Role Of Tavapadon, A Novel Dopamine Partial Agonist, In The Treatment Of Parkinson’S Disease, Alan D. Kaye, Bennett M. Ford, Brennan M. Abbott, Kalob M. Broocks, Sofia Novacic, Sahar Shekoohi

Tavapadon, a novel oral dopamine-D1R/D5R partial agonist, has been studied in recent years for the treatment of late-stage development Parkinson’s disease (PD). Levodopa, a dopamine precursor that currently remains the gold-standard first-line therapy for PD motor symptoms, serves as a benchmark against emerging dopaminergic agents. By selectively activating D1-family receptors on direct-pathway medium neurons, Tavapadon differs in that it delivers levodopa-level motor benefit while avoiding its many D2R/D3R-mediated adverse effects. In placebo-controlled trials, Tavapadon produced clear, clinically meaningful gains in motor function and day-to-day activities, as captured by the Unified Parkinson’s Disease Rating Scale (UPDRS). Hybrid particles having improved electrical conductivity and thermal and chemical stabilities are disclosed. The hybrid particles are for use in conductive pastes. The hybrid particles include a nanoparticle selected from a graphene-containing material, a dichalcogenide material, a conducting polymer, or a combination thereof encapsulated in a conducting metal. The Art Of Compassion: How Viewing Art Affects Prosocial Intentions, Melissa Dolese

Art functions as a communicative medium that evokes emotion and fosters social connection potentially motivating prosocial behavior. Grounded in theories of elevation and social cognition, this research investigated whether viewing art, regardless of its thematic content, would influence compassionate intentions toward individuals across varying relational distances (self, friend, stranger). The studies also examined if the types of imagined compassionate actions, categorized by expressive modalities (Chapman’s Love Languages, Gestures of Kindness, and Hedonic Pleasures), varied with relational closeness. Study 1 found that compassion-themed art influenced compassionate intentions toward strangers, with artistic communication predicting these intentions more strongly than explicit compassion messaging. …
