This Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) project was a staff education project that addressed the stigmatization of patients with mental illness (PMI) within psychiatric contexts. The project site healthcare organization’s mental health professionals had a high rate of stigmatization of PMI. Stigma is linked to poor medication adherence rates, delays in accessing healthcare, lower healthcare utilization among PMI, psychiatric morbidity and mortality, and poor quality of life. Despite recognizing this problem, the healthcare organization had no targeted antistigma interventions. I developed an antistigma education to improve outcomes. The Supreme Court's haphazard approach to allocating burdens of proof in criminal procedure has created a system in which constitutional rights can be rendered meaningless simply because defendants are required to prove things they cannot possibly know. Even though allocations of the burden of proof often drive litigation outcomes, the Court has failed to establish clear burden allocation structures for cases arising under the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, and Fourteenth Amendments, leaving lower courts split about how to allocate the burdens. The increasing worldwide water shortage demands the immediate implementation of advanced, sustainable wastewater treatment solutions. Nanotechnology provides promising options through nanomaterials, including metal oxides, magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs), and carbon-based composites, which show high removal efficiencies of 50–98% for organic contaminants and 80–99% for inorganic pollutants. This review analyzes various nanomaterials used in wastewater treatment by examining their functional mechanisms, including adsorption, catalytic degradation, and membrane-based separation, and assesses their performance relative to traditional methods. It addresses the major barriers to large-scale implementation, including high production expenses, ecological dangers, and scalability problems. More than 20 genes expressed in the male reproductive tract have been identified as essential factors for sperm migration to and through the utero-tubal junction (UTJ), and they are divided into ADAM3-dependent and ADAM3-independent pathways. In parallel, sperm having UTJ migration defects also show impaired binding to the zona pellucida (ZP). Herein, we demonstrate that knockout of Galntl5, encoding a sperm surface protein, causes impaired sperm binding with the UTJ and ZP, and null males have severe infertility. Objective: To review the global impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on stroke care-metrics and report data from a health system in Houston.

Methods: We performed a meta-analysis of the published literature reporting stroke admissions, intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) cases, number of thrombolysis (tPA) and thrombectomy (MT) cases, and time metrics (door to needle, DTN; and door to groin time, DTG) during the pandemic compared to prepandemic period. Within our hospital system, between January-June 2019 and January-June 2020, we compared the proportion of stroke admissions and door to tPA and MT times.

Metal–sulfur batteries, particularly lithium–sulfur (Li–S) systems, have attracted significant attention due to their high theoretical energy densities, low cost, and sustainability benefits arising from sulfur’s abundance and non-toxicity. Despite extensive research, their practical deployment remains limited by persistent challenges such as polysulfide shuttling and metal anode degradation, which collectively lead to poor coulombic efficiency and limited cycle life. These issues are further intensified in emerging systems employing sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium, and siliconbased anodes. Background Infants born to pregnant women living with HIV (WLHIV) are at greater risk for morbidity and mortality and may also have poorer developmental outcomes as compared with infants who are not exposed to HIV. Nutrition interventions in pregnancy may affect developmental outcomes.

Objectives This study evaluated the effect of maternal vitamin D supplementation on infant development outcomes.

Design We conducted a secondary analysis of a randomised, triple-blind, placebo-controlled trial of maternal vitamin D supplementation from June 2015 to October 2019.

Neuropteran insects display a phenomenon called distance segregation during male meiosis I, where the X and Y chromosomes are unconnected from prometaphase I through anaphase I. Here we investigate chromosome number and patterns of chromosome segregation of a previously unstudied Neuropteran: the green lacewing, Chrysoperla rufilabris (Burmeister, 1839). Testes of male C. rufilabris were isolated and prepared following a chromosome squash method. Living meiosis I spermatocytes were also imaged. The data revealed a chromosome number of 2n=12 in males (2n=10+XY) and evidence of distance segregation of X and Y chromosomes in meiosis I spermatocytes.

BACKGROUND: Sonic hedgehog (SHH) medulloblastoma is the most common molecular group of infant and early childhood medulloblastoma (iMB) and has no standard of care at relapse. This work aimed to evaluate the post-relapse survival (PRS) and explore prognostic factors of patients with nodular desmoplastic (ND) and/or SHH iMB.

METHODS: This international retrospective study included 147 subjects diagnosed with relapsed ND/SHH iMB between 1995 and 2017, < 6 years old at original diagnosis, and treated without initial craniospinal irradiation (CSI). Univariable and multivariable Cox models with propensity score analyses were used to assess PRS for those in the curative intent cohort.

RESULTS: The 3-year PRS was 61.6% (95% confidence interval [CI], 52.2-69.6). The median age at relapse was 3.4 years (interquartile range [IQR], 2.6-4.1). Those with local relapse (40.8%) more often received salvage treatment with surgery …

Many western scientific disciplines adopted Indigenous Knowledge and terminology without deference to or understanding of the original meanings and values attached to Indigenous terms and concepts. This form of scientific appropriation has become a serious barrier to efforts of decolonizing Arctic research. The notion of Alaas is an example of such appropriation by the western science-based system of Indigenous knowledge about human–nature relations. The Doppler Wind and Temperature Sounder (DWTS) is being developed for flight on NASA’s Dynamical Neutral Atmosphere-Ionosphere Coupling (DYNAMIC) satellite. DWTS will view the Earth limb orthogonal to the spacecraft ram and uses gas-filter correlation radiometry to detect the Doppler shift of atmospheric emission. The observations yield horizontal winds and kinetic temperature with high precision, excellent spatial resolution, and altitude coverage from 40–250 km. DWTS detects Doppler shifting of NO and 13CO2 atmospheric emission lines by passing the incident light through an onboard cell containing both gases that is cooled to near cryogenic temperatures. Prior work has shown that Translation Lookaside Buffer (TLB) data contains valuable behavioral information. Many existing methodologies rely on timing features or focus solely on workload classification. In this study, we propose a novel approach to malware classification using only TLB-related Hardware Performance Counters (HPCs), explicitly excluding any dependence on timing features such as task execution duration or memory access timing. Our methodology evaluates whether TLB data alone, without any timing information, can effectively distinguish between malicious and benign programs.
