Background: Kidney function declines with age, largely due to chronic low-grade inflammation. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) have demonstrated immunomodulatory effects in certain immune-mediated kidney diseases, but their role in preserving renal function in aging individuals without chronic kidney disease (CKD) remains unclear. This study presents secondary outcome findings from a randomized clinical trial in Parkinson's disease (PD), evaluating the impact of allogeneic human bone marrow-derived MSCs (allo-hMSCs) on kidney function in an aging population with PD with preserved renal function.

Aim: The aim of this systematic review was to synthesise findings from qualitative studies exploring patients' experiences in hospital or at home following open-heart surgery.Methods: Systematic searches were conducted in CINAHL, MEDLINE, PsycINFO, ProQuest Dissertation and Theses, and Web of Science, covering the period from 2006 to 2023. Studies were selected if they reported a qualitative inquiry into patients’ experiences after open-heart surgery. The quality of eligible studies was assessed using the JBI Critical Appraisal tool. EGFRex20 insertions (EGFRex20ins) can be classified as near- and far-loop based on the insertion location, however, the impact of location on responses to various EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) is poorly understood. In vitro studies show that afatinib, poziotinib, and zipalertinib more potently inhibited near-loop than far-loop insertions, whereas mobocertinib has similar IC50 in both groups. Molecular dynamics simulations reveal that near-loop insertions have multiple conformational states and lower transitional energy than far-loop insertions. Time online involves the risk of direct and vicarious online racial/ethnic discrimination. This study examined the day-to-day associations between online racial/ethnic discrimination and positive and negative affect, somatic symptoms, and anxiety. Participants were 208 fourth-year college students (25% men, 72.1% women, 2.9% not reporting gender; 36.1% Asian, 30.3% White, 17.3% Latinx, 7.7% Multiethnic, 8.7% Other; M age = 22 years). The sample resided in the U.S. Data were collected in 2020. Longitudinal data were collected via online surveys using a daily report approach. This review investigated the effects of adjuvant vitamin D therapy on Total Nasal Symptoms Score (TNSS), IgE, and eosinophil counts in patients with allergic rhinitis (AR). The meta-analysis used databases, such as PubMed, Science Direct, Scopus, Web of Science, SAGE journals, and clinicaltrials.gov. Quality appraisal was performed using RoB 2 and NOS tools. The research was guided by the PRISMA 2020 chart and analyzed using RevMan 5.4. Sixteen articles, including 11 randomised controlled trials and five cohorts, met the inclusion criteria. This study investigates the dominant themes and discursive structures within global film scholarship through a bibliometric analysis of 404 Scopus-indexed articles published between 2019 and 2024. Using VOSviewer to map keyword co-occurrence, citation networks, and authorship patterns, the research identifies five major thematic clusters: Hollywood, feminism, representation, Bollywood, and popular culture. The findings reveal a persistent dominance of Western narratives positioning them at the centre of global film studies. In contrast, themes related to non-Western cinema, such as Bollywood, appear less central and more fragmented within the academic discourse. This study examines the structure, distribution, and environmental influences on planktonic communities in the Romanian Black Sea, based on data collected from Black Sea national monitoring stations in June 2023. We assessed the qualitative and quantitative composition of phytoplankton, microzooplankton, mesozooplankton, macrozooplankton, and ichthyoplankton, alongside key environmental factors such as temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, and nutrient concentrations (nitrite, nitrate, ammonium, phosphate, and silicate). The results highlight the dominance of dinoflagellates within the phytoplankton community, while copepods constitute the most abundant mesozooplankton group. Temperature changes and nanoparticle exposure have emerged as critical environmental stressors with potential cytotoxic and genotoxic effects on aquatic species. This study investigates the impact of zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs), synthesized using Plantago major leaves, on Oncorhynchus mykiss gonadal (RTG-2) cells under different temperature conditions (23 °C, 24 °C, and 25 °C). RTG-2 cells were exposed to hexagonal ZnO NPs (≤100 nm) at concentrations of 6.25, 12.5, 25, 50, 75, and 100 μg/mL for 24 and 48 h. This study aimed to compare the bacterial recovery efficiency of surface samplers on stainless steel (SS) and polypropylene (PP) surfaces. The timed contraction and relaxation of myofibers in tissues such as the heart and skeletal muscle occur via the tightly regulated movement of calcium ions into and out of the sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR). In skeletal muscle, this phenomenon enables humans to exercise, perform day-to-day tasks, and to breathe. Sarcolipin, a small regulatory protein, prevents calcium ions from entering the SR by binding to and inhibiting SERCA, contributing to myofiber contraction. This paper presents the fabrication and characterization of a plastic scintillator prepared from epoxy resin doped with 2,5-diphenyloxazole (PPO) and cerium fluoride nanoparticles (CeF₃ NPs) for radiation detection. The CeF₃ NPs were prepared by a chemical process and examined by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM); it was found that the prepared particles were true CeF₃ NPs with an average particle size of approximately 17 nm. This study investigated the prevalence of work stress and its impact on marital stability among married lecturers at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. A descriptive correlational survey design was employed, and 100 married lecturers were selected through a multistage sampling technique across five faculties. Data were gathered using a researcher-designed instrument titled “Work Stress and Marital Stability Questionnaire (WSMSQ),” which demonstrated strong reliability with a Cronbach Alpha coefficient of 0.81. An increase in online learning has created a set of new challenges for higher education institutions. Institutions seek to retain students and ensure they are engaged in their courses. This paper examines forms of engagement that traditional and nontraditional students perceive in their online asynchronous graduate courses at a public flagship university. The authors examined relevant literature and surveyed students across several online graduate education programs. The survey shows that collaborative engagement, specifically the indicator of connecting to institutional opportunities, is the lowest tallied.
