Digital forensics is crucial in investigating and analyzing digital evidence, including images, to uncover potential crimes and identify manipulated or fraudulent content. A significant challenge in digital forensics is distinguishing between authentic and manipulated images. This paper applies a popular pre-trained deep learning model, VGG16, for feature extraction in real vs. fake image detection and various machine learning (ML) models as classifiers. The feature extraction part until the flatten layer of the VGG16 model is utilized to extract discriminative features that capture high-level image representations comprising local and global patterns. Intrusion detection plays a critical role in safeguarding computer networks from malicious activities and unauthorized access. Traditional machine learning (ML) models have been widely employed for intrusion detection, but their effectiveness can be limited due to the complex and evolving nature of network attacks. An efficient Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) that utilizes one-dimensional convolutions, batch normalization, and max pooling layers is designed to capture the attack patterns in network traffic data. In a non-linear dynamical structure, this research presents a new analytical framework for examining the Zakharov-Kuznetsov equation in the realm of dusty ion-acoustic waves. Our objective is to produce a wide range of optical solitons at a reduced cost and time scale for evaluation by employing specific integration techniques. To achieve this, we are using two analytical approaches: the unified Ricatti equation procedure and the new extended auxiliary equation strategy. In this work, we present an improved or smart communication system for autonomous vehicles that will enable them to reach distention by communicating a) with other vehicles (known as vehicle-to-vehicle V2V) and b) with the infrastructure of transportation system specifically traffic lights (known as vehicle to traffic lights V2TL). Immigrants who settled there like Finns and Scandinavians were familiar with this environment but even Italians found that they could develop their cherished home gardens and small farms. Accurately assessing asphalt mixtures' moisture susceptibility is critical because moisture damage can significantly reduce pavement durability, leading to premature failure and structural integrity of the pavement. The stripping inflection point (SIP), a moisture susceptibility index derived from the Hamburg Wheel Track (HWT) test, has practical merits in evaluating moisture susceptibility. However, current methods for determining the SIP showed low accuracy and high variability due to poor regression quality. Hence, this study aims to propose an improved method for calculating the SIP by modifying existing approaches to better capture the characteristics of rutting curves. The European Union’s decarbonisation strategy necessitates profound shifts across all sectors, with road transport presenting a particularly formidable challenge due to its sustained emissions growth since 1990. Given that Italy’s road transport sector is the third-largest consumer of fossil fuels in Europe, its role is pivotal in achieving these collective climate objectives. This study employs grey forecasting models to assess the projected contribution of alternative fuels – specifically biodiesel, bio-gasoline, biomethane, and electricity – to Italy’s 2030 decarbonisation pathway. The results suggest that consumption of these energy carriers will reach around 5 Mtoe (million tons of oil equivalent), representing a …

INTRODUCTION: Screening for health-related social needs (HRSN) is a growing national health priority. While multiple HRSN screening tools currently exist, none to our knowledge have been evaluated using robust statistical analyses. The goal of this work is to provide results from a validation study of the Jefferson HRSN screener conducted across inpatient and outpatient settings.

METHODS: This retrospective cross-sectional psychometric study included HRSN assessments conducted across inpatient and outpatient settings with adult patients from March 2023 to May 2024. Multiple Pathways Of Social Impairment For Youth With Symptoms Of Adhd: A Novel Model Of Serial Mediation, Ewald Michael Wefelmeyer

The current study sought to explain the heterogeneity of social impairment among youth with symptoms of ADHD with the goal of potentially improving a clinician's ability to identify and support those children. A novel model of the relationship between the disorder and social impairment was proposed with serial mediators of parental/family functioning and emotion regulation. It was anticipated that a higher level of ADHD symptoms would lead to more impairment among aspects of parental/family functioning, which would predict more emotion dysregulation which would subsequently predict poorer social functioning. The annual modulation signal, claimed to be consistent with dark matter as observed by DAMA/LIBRA in a sodium-iodide based detector, has persisted for over two decades. COSINE-100 and ANAIS-112 were designed to test the claim directly using the same target material. COSINE-100, located at Yangyang Underground Laboratory in South Korea, and ANAIS-112, located at Canfranc Underground Laboratory in Spain, have been taking data since 2016 and 2017, respectively. Each experiment published its respective results independently. Canned tuna is susceptible to mislabeling due to its high consumer demand, complex global supply chains, and range of prices. DNA barcoding of a short fragment of the mitochondrial control region (CR), termed the CR mini-barcode, has been established as an effective method for tuna species identification. However, the high level of DNA degradation in canned tuna products reduces the effectiveness of this method. Therefore, this study aimed to compare CR mini-barcoding to targeted (i.e., real-time or multiplex) PCR-based methods to determine the most effective approach for canned tuna species identification.
