Improving Staff Knowledge On Hourly Rounding Using The 4ps To Reduce The Fall Rate, Chukwuemeka Igboanugo

I designed this Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) project to develop an educational program that increases staff knowledge of hourly rounding using an evidence-based approach, specifically pain, position, potty, and possession (the 4Ps), to prevent falls among residents in a long-term care facility. According to facility leadership, the observed gap in practice was the nursing staff members’ lack of knowledge in performing hourly rounding. The facility’s fall records for the lockdown units indicated a surge in fall rate, with 32 falls among 62 residents per month, reflecting a need for action. Oncogenic MYCN drives aggressive disease in many cancers including neuroblastoma (NB). Metabolic reprogramming is essential to support cancer cell homeostasis and survival under nutrient- and oxygen-deprived conditions. MYCN directly reprograms many nodes of tumor-intrinsic metabolism, which have significant repercussions on the cells of the tumor microenvironment (TME), resulting in complex intercellular metabolic circuits that contribute to the immunosuppressive microenvironment of NB. These metabolic circuits are also regulated by the organismal and cellular circadian clock and host diet to further impact the TME and NB oncogenesis. The Hippo pathway controls organ development, homeostasis, and regeneration primarily by modulating YAP/TEAD-mediated gene expression. Although emerging studies report Hippo-YAP dysfunction after viral infection, it is largely unknown in the context of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). Here, we analyzed RNA sequencing data from human-induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes (iPSC-CMs) and SARS-CoV-2-infected human lung samples, and observed a decrease in YAP target gene expression. In screening SARS-CoV-2 nonstructural proteins, we found that nonstructural protein 13 (NSP13), a conserved coronavirus helicase, inhibits YAP transcriptional activity independent of the upstream Hippo kinases LATS1/2. Bilingual teachers enact agency as language policymakers and advocate for

students in providing holistic support. This ethnographic study examines 2nd

and 4th grade Spanish-English dual language bilingual education teachers’

agentive actions in implementing pedagogical strategies informed by translanguaging

and funds of knowledge during blended learning in 2021. The

findings revealed that the teachers identified challenges and posed questions

as they transitioned to blended learning for the first time. They celebrated

the positives of returning to in-person schooling, agentively

navigated the new environment, and provided holistic support for the

Pesticides are a major global problem because of their effects on living organisms and their bodily functions. This study was conducted from August 25, 2022, to October 25, 2022. It aimed to know the toxic effects of Chlorpyrifos on common carp (Cyprinus carpio L.), and the potential of Moringa oleifera leaves to reduce this toxicity by evaluating their effect on growth performance in fish exposed to the pesticide. Sediment samples were collected from five sites at Tigris River from Baghdad to Wasit Governorates River from December 2021 to November 2022. Sixteen polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in these sediment samples were analyzed. The results show that the total PAH concentrations ranged from 957.37 to 1805.05 μg/kg dry weight (dw) with mean values of 1368.034 μg/kg. Furthermore, the high molecular weight compounds (four, five, and six rings) of PAH in the analyzed sediment samples suggest that combustion sources such as fuel, gasoline, and vehicle emissions are the primary sources of PAHs in the environment. To the best of our knowledge, this research proposes the first end-to-end Privacy-Preserving Federated Transfer Learning (PPFTL) framework for 2-D ECG arrhythmia classification. Incorporating Transfer Learning (TL) narrows the gap between the encrypted and non-encrypted framework versions in the training step. Upon antigenic stimulation, CD4+T cells undergo clonal expansion elevating their bioenergetic demands and utilization of nutrients like glucose and glutamine. The nuclear factor erythroid-2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) is a well-known regulator of oxidative stress, but its involvement in modulating the metabolism of CD4+T cells remains unexplored. We report that Nrf2 protein levels are temporally regulated in activated CD4+T cells, with elevated expression during early activation followed by a decline. T cell-specific constitutive activation of Nrf2, by deletion of its negative regulator Keap1, enhances early activation and interleukin-2 (IL-2) expression, upregulates T cell receptor (TCR) signaling, and increases activation-driven expansion of …

In this work, a pulse laser deposition device was fabricated to synthesize nano-coated plastic optical fiber for sensing application. a plastic optical fiber of 1000 μm diameter, coated with different materials such as aluminum and titanium oxide. Using a field emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM), the coated samples’ shape, surface properties, and chemical makeup were verified., an energy dispersion X-ray (EDX), UV-vis absorption spectroscopy, atomic force Microscope (AFM).
