In this paper, a seventh order nonlinear partial differential equations with mixed and additional conditions and positive parameter is considered. The Fourier spectral method of separation of variables is applied. Countable systems of nonlinear functional-integral equations are derived. Theorem on the uniqueness and existence of the solution of inverse problem is proved for some values of parameter. The method of contraction mapping in Banach space is applied. The solution of the inverse problem is obtained in the form of Fourier series. Theorem on absolute and uniform convergence of Fourier series is proved.

Ultra-processed foods (UPFs) are widely consumed among college students and are linked to adverse health outcomes including obesity, poor mental health, and cardiometabolic disease. Despite their rising prevalence, limited research has examined psychosocial and behavioral factors influencing UPF intake within Christian university settings. This study investigated demographic, behavioral, and psychosocial predictors of UPF consumption among Liberty University students, guided by the Health Belief Model (HBM). A cross-sectional survey of students aged 18 and older (N = 337) was conducted. After excluding incomplete or invalid responses, 276 cases remained. Objective Conventional reconstruction methods are insufficient for the reconstruction of seismic data with missing consecutive traces, producing a negative impact on subsequent processing accuracy. Hence, this study proposed CU-Net++, a deep learning network based on the U-Net++ architecture combined with the convolutional block attention module (CBAM). Methods During the reconstruction of missing data, the independent decoder for each sub-U-Net in the nested U-Net++ architecture enables the utilization of information from different depths. This study presents an innovative numerical method for solving linear fractional differential equations (LFDEs) using modified Bernstein polynomial bases. The proposed approach effectively addresses the challenges posed by the nonlocal nature of fractional derivatives, providing a robust framework for handling multiple initial and boundary value constraints. By integrating the LFDEs and approximating the solutions with modified fractional-order Bernstein polynomials, we derive operational matrices to solve the resulting system numerically. The method’s accuracy is validated through several examples, showing excellent agreement between numerical and exact solutions. In this article, we demonstrate that the voltage-biased phase-slip center (PSC) can act as a direct equivalent (not merely an analogy) of the Josephson effect in Josephson junctions (JJs). We analyze the behavior of PSCs in the case when a constant voltage V is applied to the superconducting filament. The analysis is performed using finite element modeling on the basis of time-dependent Ginzburg–Landau (TDGL) equations. It reveals that the current in the filament oscillates with the Josephson frequency ω = 2eV/h. This fact may have important corollaries in practice.

The sensory nerves in the airways directly regulate critical defenses and indirectly regulate vital gas exchange. Airway function is largely controlled by the autonomic nervous system, and our understanding of its sensory regulation is directly connected to our ability to treat respiratory and cardiovascular pathologies. Airway sensory afferents are heterogeneous with respect to their electrophysiological properties, peptidergic capacity, and stimuli sensitivity, which at least in part dictate some of their various functions. BACKGROUND: Clinicians currently lack an effective means for identifying youth with type 1 diabetes (T1D) who are at risk for experiencing glycemic deterioration between diabetes clinic visits. As a result, their ability to identify youth who may optimally benefit from targeted interventions designed to address rising glycemic levels is limited. Although electronic health records (EHR)-based risk predictions have been used to forecast health outcomes in T1D, no study has investigated the potential for using EHR data to identify youth with T1D who will experience a clinically significant rise in glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) ≥0.3% (approximately 3 mmol/mol) between diabetes clinic visits. …

While industries, occupations, and health outcomes have been widely studied, research has neglected self-rated health (SRH) and the intersectionality of different status characteristics in various industries. Using an IPUMS version of the Current Population Survey, this study explores the possible relationships between industries and SRH. More specifically, it seeks to find if workers' disability status, racial minority status, or gender moderates (i.e., differentiates) the relationship between their industry and SRH. INTRODUCTION: Women with multiple chronic conditions are more likely than women without them to report lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS); understanding the association of common and coexisting chronic conditions with bladder health across adulthood may inform prevention efforts.

METHODS: Data were collected from May 2022 through December 2023 from a regionally representative cohort of community-dwelling adult women in the US. Chronic conditions were assessed by self-report and bladder health, and LUTS were measured using validated questionnaires. Contributing factors to a leader’s psychological well-being and their ability to be fully functional, mature, and self-actualized, are highly under-researched. This study examined the relationship of leader identity and leader efficacy on a leader’s psychological well-being. The study also explored whether a leader’s gender and leadership role level influenced their leader identity, efficacy, and psychological well-being. Participants were 165 working organizational leaders from a variety of industries, ages 19-72 years old with 1-40 years of leadership experience. This quantitative, correlational study explored the relationship between perceived e-working experience and the psychological need for autonomy among 120 U.S.-based information technology (IT) professionals. Spatial technologies examining the cell and tissue microenvironment at near single-cell resolution are revealing important molecular insights. However, few tools enable integrated, interactive analysis of spatial-omics with tissue morphology in the same functional tissue unit. Here, we present FUSION (Functional Unit State Identification in Whole Slide Images), a web-based platform for visualizing and analyzing spatial-omics data with high-resolution histology. FUSION provides workflows for assessing cell compositions, quantitative morphometrics, and comparative tissue analyses. Antibiotic resistance is a threat to human health, yet recent work highlights how loss of resistance may drive pathogenesis in some bacteria. In two recent studies, we found that β-lactam antibiotics and nutrient stresses faced during infection selected for genetic inactivation of the Pseudomonas aeruginosa antibiotic efflux pump mexEFoprN. Unexpectedly, efflux pump mutations increased P. aeruginosa virulence during infection; however, neither the prevalence of mexEFoprN inactivating mutations in real human infections, nor the mechanisms driving increased virulence of efflux pump mutants are known.
