In-hospital strokes are often underrecognized, leading to treatment delays and poorer outcomes compared to community-onset strokes. This scholarly project evaluated whether integrating the Epic Stroke Narrator into inpatient code stroke protocols could improve documentation of last known well time (LKWT) and reduce time to intervention. A 6-week quasi-experimental pilot study guided by the Iowa Model of Evidence-Based Practice and Rogers’ diffusion of innovations theory was conducted on a neuroscience telemetry step-down unit at a comprehensive stroke center in Richmond, Virginia. The initiative aimed to strengthen donation intake, inventory management, and furniture delivery, which had previously strained resources and hindered organizational consistency. Guided by biblical leadership principles, the project introduced cost-effective solutions like a barcode-based digital inventory system, color-coded signage, and modular volunteer training sessions. The study examined the predictive relationship between leadership and organizational effectiveness (EO) and the predictive relationship within Major Combat Units (MCUs) of the United States Military. Using archival data from the Defense Equal Opportunity Climate Survey (DEOCS) 4.1, a large cross-sectional sample of active-duty personnel was analyzed to evaluate how five leadership styles, Democratic/Participative, Transactional, Authoritative/Autocratic, Transformational, and Delegative/Laissez-Faire—predicted nine OE outcomes, including Job Satisfaction, Trust in Leadership, Group Cohesion, Connectedness, Engagement, Organizational Process, Organizational Performance, Perceptions of Senior Leadership, and organizational Commitment. A qualitative approach with a phenomenological research design was used to explore the lived experiences of parents regarding the application of faith-based CBT methods in response to feelings of failure, guilt, and the loss of a child due to suicide. This purpose addressed the problem of the lack of exploration of specific types of guilt, such as failure guilt, and their impact on post-traumatic stress symptoms among parents who have experienced the suicide of an adolescent. The purpose of this phenomenological study was to discover the self-advocacy skills used in transition services for visually impaired (VI) students who graduated from a public school in the southeastern United States. Bandura’s social cognitive theory expands on the importance of self-efficacy. BACKGROUND: Known circadian variations in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) flow and composition include fluctuations in electrolytes, hormones, and neurotransmitters. However, how commonly measured CSF constituents, such as protein and glucose, vary by time-of-day is understudied. Here, we identify and compare time-of-day differences in CSF protein and glucose from patients who underwent CSF collection during clinical care.

METHODS: Patients with CSF collected between June 2018 and May 2023 at thirteen hospitals within our institution's health system were identified. INTRODUCTION: Children from refugee families resettled in the USA face higher risks of serious mental health challenges compared with their native-born peers. Research shows that refugee youth in high-income countries frequently suffer from trauma-associated disorders such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression and anxiety. The high prevalence of trauma-associated mental health problems among these youth may be attributed to their own trauma exposure, especially if born in conflict zones, and post-resettlement challenges like poverty, acculturation difficulties, racism and discrimination. Purpose: Athletic training is a stressful profession, prone to burnout. Being able to cope with prolonged stress, such as being resilient, may buffer experiences of burnout. Resilience is an individual’s ability to adapt and overcome stressors. Burnout is a byproduct of prolonged stress, likely to poor coping or ability to adapt to stress. The goal of the study was to explore the relationship between resilience and burnout among athletic trainers in collegiate and secondary school settings.
