Corrosion of aluminum radiators can reduce cooling system reliability and shorten service life in automotive applications. This study examines the effect of TiO₂-Al₂O₃ hybrid nanofluid concentration and temperature on the corrosion rate of commercially available aluminum radiator material. Hybrid nanoparticles with a TiO₂-Al₂O₃ mass ratio of 50:50 were dispersed in distilled water at concentrations of 0.6 wt.%, 0.8 wt.%, and 1.0 wt.%. Hepatic malignancies account for a substantial portion of global cancer mortality, with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (IHC), and metastatic liver disease representing the most common diagnoses. While surgical resection and liver transplantation remain curative options for eligible patients, most patients are diagnosed at stages unsuitable for surgery. This has shifted medical management towards locoregional therapies (LRTs) which are often catheter-directed. Method: An introductory BSN research course was redesigned using competency-based education strategies within the foundations of adult learning theory. Competency-based education focused on ethics while adult learning theory emphasized nursing practice applicability and student interest. Students completed course evaluations comparing their research attitudes from the start of the semester to the end.

Results: Of the 331 students, 327 (98.2%) responded to a reflective question at the end of three consecutive semesters. Among them, 25% (n=82) reported a positive shift, selecting “I did not like research at the start of the semester, but I like it now.” An additional 24.6% (n …

Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) provides dense spatial measurements of the dynamic strain along fiber optic cables, offering high-resolution wave sensing for ground motion monitoring and subsurface imaging applications. However, DAS records the axial strain or strain rate, whereas traditional seismic and engineering ground motion equipment and derived metrics are based on particle displacement, velocity, or acceleration, necessitating reliable strain-to-velocity conversion methods. In addition to formal classroom learning, storytelling with a storyteller is another activity that involves adults. The dialogic interaction between storyteller and children fosters the creation of meaning. This study examines how storytelling, as an interactional practice, can dynamically construct meaning together between storyteller and children. Sixty-one kindergarten children participated in this study during a one and half hour storytelling activity. Multitrophic interactions can strongly influence the structure and functioning of ecosystems, but how plant diversity influences the direction and predictability of multitrophic interactions across agricultural and natural ecosystems remains unclear. Using 149 field studies across five continents, we found that, on average, increasing plant diversity tended to exert differential top-down and bottom-up effects in croplands versus grasslands and forests. Organic and nonorganic croplands exhibited 846 and 148% higher invertebrate natural enemy-to-herbivore abundance ratios under increased plant diversity, consistent with top-down control patterns where predator gains cause herbivore declines, enhancing crop outcomes. However, without a well-defined standard or point of comparison, such data annotation can require significant cognitive effort from human judges. To mitigate this issue, I propose the use of comparative judgments. Comparative judgments involve pairs of data points and a comparative label instead of a direct one. This process would only ask the human judge to compare the pair of data points and decide which one should have a higher label, but would not ask for the exact value. The B2B cybersecurity marketplace is characterised by long sales cycles, high organisational risk, and technically sophisticated decision-makers, conditions under which conventional rule- based lead qualification systematically misallocates sales effort. This dissertation develops, evaluates, and interprets a predictive lead-scoring framework for this setting, grounded in the Cross-Industry Standard Process for Data Mining (CRISP-DM) and applied to a synthetic B2B cybersecurity CRM dataset of 5,000 opportunities. Menopause follows this phase, which is 12 consecutive months when no menstrual cycles occur in combination with hormone decline and experiencing additional symptoms (e.g., hot flashes, sleep disturbances).To better understand Utahns’ needs and preferences during and after menopause, Utah State University Extension researchers conducted a needs assessment to inform programming creation and delivery. Heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) remains a major cause of morbidity, mortality, and healthcare utilization worldwide despite substantial therapeutic advances. Over the past three decades, randomized clinical trials have established four foundational pharmacologic pillars of guideline-directed medical therapy (GDMT): renin–angiotensin system inhibition or angiotensin receptor–neprilysin inhibition, evidence-based beta-blockers, mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists, and sodium–glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitors. A Tax Residency Certificate (‘TRC’) is an essential document enabling non-residents to claim tax treaty benefits in India. However, whether a TRC is sufficient in order to claim such benefits has been the subject matter of litigation, particularly in cases involving treaty shopping/tax fraud allegations. This research explores SMU’s undergraduate students in their own identities and romantic relationships in the realm of the bisexuality spectrum using the Kinsey Scale. I developed a 46-item online survey comprised of six component parts, which incorporated previous scales of Kinsey, Consensual Non-Monogamy, Self-Acceptance of Sexuality Inventory, and Experience in Close Relationships scales, to measure respondents’ sense of attraction and preferences as well as attachment scales and assess the participants’ relationship beliefs pertaining to consensual non-monogamy. This paper proposes to solve the challenge of making databases more user-friendly by interfacing them with OpenAI's ChatGPT-3.5 model. We implemented this solution to assist researchers in easily finding others with similar research interests. Our study involves 184 researchers from 14 departments at Southern Methodist University (SMU). We collected researchers' areas of expertise and biographies and stored them in a Neo4j graph database. We used OpenAI's embedding models to create vector representations of the collected data, allowing for accurate similarity assessments via Neo4j's built-in algorithms.
