My Serials Checklist Manifesto: A Simple Tool To Deliver Consistent Results And Save Time, J. Michael Lindsay Msis, Mba, Ahip, Martha Earl Msls, Ahip

The purpose of this poster is to demonstrate the effectiveness of checklists and standardization in a small academic library, where librarian roles include technical, public, and administrative responsibilities. Since the publication of Atul Gawande's Checklist Manifesto in 2010, leaders have paid greater attention to the role of the simple checklist in standardizing medical care. Checklists can also demonstrate positive impacts in librarianship. Managing serials subscriptions, primarily in electronic format, has required librarians to develop new skills, including the calculation of metrics from big package products which may not share consistent counter standards. Decision Under Risk And Uncertainty In Fiqh And Economics, Muhammad Anas Bin Mustafa Al- Zarqa, Mohammed Bin Ibrahim Al-Suhaibani

This paper examines the concept of acting upon conjecture (ẓann) through an interdisciplinary lens, integrating Islamic jurisprudence and modern economic theory. It focuses on decision-making under conditions of risk and uncertainty, distinguishing between risk—which is quantifiable—and uncertainty, which relies on subjective judgment. The study explores behavioral attitudes toward risk (aversion, neutrality, and preference) and their implications for strategic decision-making. From a jurisprudential standpoint, the paper highlights the epistemic limitations of human knowledge, particularly regarding the unseen (ghayb), and the consequent reliance on probabilistic reasoning in Islamic legal thought. Environmental Sustainability In The Prophetic Sunnah: A Foresight Perspective, Usama Abdul Majid Alani
Journal of King Abdulaziz University: Islamic Economics
This research investigates the role of the Prophetic Sunnah in advancing environmental sustainability by analyzing the teachings and practices of the Prophet Muhammad that advocate for the conservation of natural resources and the protection of the rights of future generations. The study focuses on three key dimensions: the conceptual foundations of sustainability within the Sunnah, practical Prophetic directives such as tree planting and water management, and the potential of these teachings to inform contemporary environmental policies. The findings indicate that the Sunnah presented a forward-thinking model of sustainability, emphasizing resource preservation and responsible consumption. This is evidenced by concrete measures, …

Equity In Action: Transformative Leadership And Anti-Racist Praxis In Canadian K-12 Schools, Ayodeji Osiname
Journal of Educational Leadership in Action
This paper examines how Canadian K-12 schools, amidst growing diversity, have historically marginalized certain student groups, perpetuating inequities. It explores the roles of school principals in reversing these trends and creating inclusive, equitable, and safe environments for all. The paper uses two theoretical frameworks—Transformative Leadership theory and Anti-Racist theory—to guide principals in fostering inclusive school cultures. The synergies and distinctions between these frameworks are analyzed to advocate for an integrated approach. Together, these frameworks provide a comprehensive lens for school leadership. School leaders must engage in self-reflection, collaboration, and resilience to cultivate social justice-oriented school cultures. The integration of Transformative …
