Chip-Off Success Rate Analysis Comparing Temperature And Chip Type, Choli Ence, Joan Runs Through, Gary D. Cantrell Feb 2019

Chip-Off Success Rate Analysis Comparing Temperature And Chip Type, Choli Ence, Joan Runs Through, Gary D. Cantrell

Journal of Digital Forensics, Security and Law

Throughout the digital forensic community, chip-off analysis provides examiners with a technique to obtain a physical acquisition from locked or damaged digital device. Thermal based chip-analysis relies upon the application of heat to remove the flash memory chip from the circuit board. Occasionally, a flash memory chip fails to successfully read despite following similar protocols as other flash memory chips. Previous research found the application of high temperatures increased the number of bit errors present in the flash memory chip. The purpose of this study is to analyze data collected from chip-off analyses to determine if a statistical difference exists …

The Problem Of Integral Geometry For A Family Curves With Specials, A.Kh. Begmatov, Z.X. Ochilov, A.Z. Khusanov

Scientific Journal of Samarkand University

We study new problem of reconstruction of a function in a strip from their given integrals with known weight function along polygonal lines. We obtained two simply inversion formulas for the solution to the problem. We prove uniqueness theorems for solutions and obtain stability estimates of a solution to the problem in Sobolev’s spaces and thus show their weak illposedness.

Parameter Of Elastic Anisotropy In Bismuth Silicate Crystals, F.R. Akhmedjanov, U.A. Saidvaliev, U.U. Tukxtaev, J.T. Nazarov

Scientific Journal of Samarkand University

The elastic anisotropy parameter of noncentrosymmetric cubic crystals of bismuth silicate has been investigated. It is shown that they belong to crystals with the negative anisotropy of elastic moduli of the second order. Comparison of the experimental results with the values of the velocities of acoustic waves calculated through the introduced anisotropy parameter shows a good agreement.

On The Cauchy Problem For The Laplace Equation, A.B. Khasanov, Z. Malikov, F.R. Tursunov

Scientific Journal of Samarkand University

The article studies the problem of continuation of the solution and the stability estimate of the Cauchy problem for the Laplace equation in a domain G by its known values on the smooth part S of the boundary G  . The considered problem belongs to the problems of mathematical physics, in which there is no continuous dependence of solutions on the initial data. It is assumed that the solution to the problem exists and is continuously differentiable in a closed domain with exac tly given Cauchy data. For this case, an explicit formula for the continuation of the solution …

Translating Antimicrobial Resistance: A Case Study Of Context And Consequences Of Antibiotic-Related Communication In Three Northern Thai Villages, Nutcha Charoenboon, Marco J. Haenssgen, Penporn Warapikuptanun, Thipphaphone Xayavong, Yuzana Khine Zaw

Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) threatens to cause ten million deaths annually by 2050, making it a top item on the global health agenda. The current global policy response is multi-faceted, wherein behavioural dimensions like people’s medicine use are being predominantly addressed with education and communication campaigns. The social sciences literature suggests that cross-contextual translation of medical knowledge in global awareness campaigns can create misunderstandings and adverse behavioural responses. However, the consequences of AMR communication in low-income and middle-income contexts remain largely undocumented. In response to the empirical knowledge gap, this study presents the case study of educational activity in three northern …

Sensing And Quantifying A New Mechanism For Vehicle Brake Creep Groan, Dejian Meng, Lijun Zhang, Xiaotian Xu, Yousef Sardahi, Gang Chen Feb 2019

Sensing And Quantifying A New Mechanism For Vehicle Brake Creep Groan, Dejian Meng, Lijun Zhang, Xiaotian Xu, Yousef Sardahi, Gang Chen

All Engineering Faculty Research

This paper investigates the creep groan of a vehicle’s brake experimentally, analytically, and numerically. Experimentally, the effects of acceleration on caliper and strut, noise, brake pressure, and tension are measured. The results show that the measured signals and their relevant spectra broadly capture the complex vibrations of creep groan. This includes the simple stick-slip, severe stick-slip vibrations/resonances, multiple harmonics, half-order harmonics; stick-slip-induced impulsive vibrations, steady/unstable vibrations, and their transitions. Analytically, a new mathematical model is presented to capture the unique features of half-order harmonics and the connections to fundamental stick-slip/resonant frequency and multiple harmonics. The analytical solution and the experimental …

Almonds provide a satiating, healthy source of fat and fiber. The postprandial metabolic and satiety response to 2 ounces of nuts or dairy was assessed in 18 overweight/obese women during late pregnancy. Serum glucose, triglycerides, insulin, c-peptide, leptin, ghrelin, and lipoprotein particles were measured prior to and during a 5-h postprandial period following the consumption of an isocaloric breakfast meal with equivalent amounts of fat from either nuts or dairy on two separate mornings. Satiety was assessed by visual analogue scale (VAS) questionnaires and ad libitum food intake at the end of the study. At 33 weeks gestation, the women …

Department of Biological Sciences Publications

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are a class of non-coding RNAs that play important roles in plant development and abiotic stresses. To date, studies have mainly focused on the roles of individual miRNAs, however, a few have addressed the interactions among multiple miRNAs. In this study, we investigated the interplay and regulatory circuit between miR160 and miR165/166 and its effect on leaf development and drought tolerance in Arabidopsis using Short Tandem Target Mimic (STTM). By crossing STTM160 Arabidopsis with STTM165/166, we successfully generated a double mutant of miR160 and miR165/166. The double mutant plants exhibited a series of compromised phenotypes in leaf development …
