Attitude Control Of Quadrotor Uav Based On Disturbance Observer And Command Filtering, Boning Li, Ming Chen, Shuchang Qi, Haoran Meng, Lei Wang
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: A finite-time fault-tolerant control scheme based on backstepping was proposed for the attitude tracking control problem of quadrotor UAVs. A finite-time neural network disturbance observer was designed, which could quickly compensate for the impacts of actuator failures and external disturbances, thereby enhancing the system's robustness. A first-order command filter and a compensation mechanism were introduced, which could avoid the computational complexity caused by differentiating the virtual control law and eliminate the influence of filtering errors. The hyperbolic tangent function was selected as the constraint function for the input torque, which restricted the input signal to prevent excessive magnitude …

Research On Path Smoothing Processing Of Mobile Robot Based On Improved A* Algorithm, Mengyuan Chen, Guifang Qiao, Xu Zou, Jiayu Cao, Lei Tian
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: Traditional bidirectional A* algorithm has many path inflection points, undergoes smoothness, and faces diagonal obstacles in path traversing. Therefore, an improved bidirectional A* algorithm was proposed. Local path constraint search was added to the forward search and backward search, respectively to solve the problem of planning paths traversing diagonal obstacles, and the effectiveness of the improved bidirectional A* algorithm to avoid traversing diagonal obstacles was verified through simulations. The path inflection points were optimized by introducing the cubic B-spline curve, and the paths before and after smoothing were tracked and controlled, respectively by using the differential-driven mobile robot. The …

Boolean Network Model Optimization Based On Neural Network And Genetic Programming, Jinlin Tang, Yan Wang, Xiang Liu, Tuanjie Wang, Zhicheng Ji
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: To address the issues of complex node relationships and low accuracy in large-scale Boolean network inference, a new optimization algorithm integrated with long short-term memory (LSTM) networks and genetic programming was proposed. An enhanced LSTM network combined with a self-attention mechanism was designed to extract potential regulatory nodes from time-series data. These nodes were utilized as terminals of the syntax tree for the design of the genetic programming algorithm, and new operators were introduced to optimize Boolean function search. Experimental results have demonstrated that the proposed method significantly outperforms the most advanced existing algorithms in inference accuracy. The Boolean …

Evolutionary Reinforcement Learning Based On Elite Instruction And Random Search, Jian Di, Xue Wan, Limei Jiang
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: Evolutionary reinforcement learning currently suffers from low sample efficiency, a single coupling method, and poor convergence, which can affect its performance and scaling. To address this issue, an improved algorithm based on elite gradient instruction and double random search was proposed. The direction of the reinforcement strategy gradient update was corrected by introducing elite strategy gradient guidance carrying evolutionary information during reinforcement strategy training. Double stochastic search was used to replace the original evolutionary component, reducing the complexity of the algorithm while making the policy search meaningful and controllable in the parameter space. The introduction of complete replacement information …

Research On Temperature Compensation Technology Of Fiber Optic Gyroscope Based On Iscso-Bp Neural Network Model, Zhili Zhang, Jin Liu, Zhaofa Zhou, Zhe Liang, Yunhao Zhang
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: To address the issue that changes in ambient temperature significantly affect the output accuracy of the fiber optic gyro (FOG), which causes zero bias drift, increases measurement errors, and limits their application accuracy in complex environments, a temperature compensation model based on BP neural networks was proposed. To improve the performance of neural networks, the sand cat swarm optimization (SCSO) was improved, and the improved SCSO (ISCSO) was used to optimize the weights and thresholds of BP neural networks. Experimental results show that using the ISCSO-BPNN temperature compensation model to compensate for the gyro's temperature errors significantly improves the …

Dynamic Supernetwork Modeling Of Command Information System Based On Task Timing, Xuehuan Qiu, Zhiming Dong, Liang Li, Zhuoli Liu
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: Due to the difficulty in reflecting the various information activities and interactions within the command information system using general modeling methods for complex system structure, the advantages of supernetwork in characterizing node heterogeneity and link multiplicity of the system were utilized. Based on the research on the mapping mechanism of the command information system across three domains, the dynamic and multifunctional properties of the functional network structure were analyzed. A dynamic supernetwork model based on task timing was constructed considering task requirements, providing model support for further research on complex interaction relationships in the command information system. The dynamic …

Robot Path Planning Optimization Based On Fusion Of Improved Ant Colony Algorithm And A* Algorithm, Lanying Yang, Chao Li, Haifeng Zou, Jiangtao Wan, Renqiang Zhang, Hui Liu, Hong Lu
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: To improve slow search efficiency and achieve real-time obstacle avoidance in traditional ant colony algorithms, an adaptive ant colony algorithm was proposed. A guidance direction mechanism was introduced to shorten the time of node selection. The A* algorithm's path-finding mechanism was introduced into the heuristic function to reduce the length and number of circles of the optimal path solution. The route planned by the traditional A* algorithm was used as the initial iteration data of the ant colony algorithm in global path planning, so as to solve the problem of slow initial convergence of the ant colony algorithm. The …

Coastal managers worldwide must prepare for changes in annual wave overtopping events due to climate change and sea-level rise. Research often assesses overtopping discharges by extreme events at a sea wall crest, typically using data from physical models or empirical rules based on scaled experiments. Here, we analyse a unique 1-year field dataset of coastal wave overtopping, from SW England, to determine the number of individual waves, regardless of their size, overtopping two locations across a coastal structure. The coastal conditions causing the most frequent overtopping differ from those driving it landward, complicating hazard communications for multiuse infrastructure. These data …

In healthy cells, the cytomatrix mechanics utilize mitochondrial respiration to control cytosolic motion and fine-tune the chemical processes. In cancer, the cytosolic motion is energized by glycolytic fermentation (the Warburg effect), which provides additional energy to supply the needs of the cytomatrix. Here, we describe the physical and chemical processes of the integrated and cooperative cytomatrix cytoarchitecture, in which structure and function are inseparable. The extracellular matrix is interconnected with the intracellular cytomatrix and functions as two integrated elastic solid phases. This finding led us to propose mechanisms of tumor microenvironment formation resulting from the mutational burden, in which altered …

Apathy is a prevalent non-motor symptom in Parkinson's disease (PD) that negatively impacts quality of life. Impaired self-awareness of apathy (ISA-a) further impacts patient care by limiting engagement. While apathy has been associated with reduced fronto-striatal functional connectivity (FC), the neural basis of ISA-a remains unclear. We examined ISA-a in 52 individuals and the neural basis of ISA-a in 35 individuals with PD using a dimensional approach (i.e., initiation, executive, and emotional apathy) and resting-state fMRI (3T scanner). Apathetic PD patients (42%) showed poorer self-awareness than non-apathetic peers. Apathetic PD patients showed a trend towards reduced FC between the left …

Bacteria commonly protect themselves from a variety of threats by forming biofilms, which are communities of bacteria that are tightly packed together within an extracellular matrix. Biofilm formation has generally been thought to protect bacteria from phage infection. The opportunistic pathogen Pseudomonas aeruginosa produces biofilm matrices that can contain three distinct exopolysaccharides that contribute to the difficulty in treating infected patients. Here, we demonstrate that two diverse P. aeruginosa phages have evolved to exploit this biofilm matrix to access the bacterial cells by both binding to and degrading a major biofilm exopolysaccharide, Psl. We examined the effect of these phages …

Effects Of Photo-Oxidized Crude Oil On Gulf Killifish Early Life Stages, Charles Campbell
LSU Master's Theses
Photo-oxidation of spilled crude oil generates polar compounds that can heighten toxicity to marine fish embryos. We investigated the effects of photo-oxidized crude oil on early life stages of Gulf killifish (Fundulus grandis) by exposing embryos under flow-through conditions to water-accommodated fractions of four oil treatments: fresh oil unexposed to either sunlight or weathering referred to as dark control (DC), a UV-light oxidized whole oil (LT), the polar fraction extracted from LT (Pol) and the remnants after extracting the Pol from LT (NP). Oil loadings of 0.38–3.00 g oil/kg water were tested. Total PAH concentrations and chemical profiles …

Design And Synthesis Of Peptide Based Systems Of Intranasal Rna Delivery, Tamara Damjanovic
Electronic Theses and Dissertations
A promising strategy that could be used to treat many central nervous system (CNS) diseases, including Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease and brain cancer, is through gene silencing by short interfering RNAs (siRNA). siRNA induces gene silencing by targeting complementary mRNA for degradation. However, a key challenge in the development of siRNA-based therapies for the CNS diseases is their transport across the blood–brain barrier (BBB) and blood-cerebrospinal fluid barrier (BCSFB). To facilitate the transport of siRNA across the BBB and BCSFB we have designed a siRNA delivery system based on the 17-mer naturally occurring cyclic peptide odorranalectin (OL) carrying multiple positive …

Humeral Head Retroversion On A Contemporary Skeletal Population With Known Physical Activity To Investigate The Differential Expressions Of Biological Sex, Elizabeth Hightower
Electronic Theses and Dissertations
Retroversion is an angled measurement of the humerus that is indicative of habitual overhand activity. Elevated retroversion measurements (in degrees) indicate overhand activity. Overhand activity indicates subsistence gathering from spear or atlatl throwing. Most retroversion research is conducted in populations where men perform more physically demanding labor. Therefore, bioarchaeologists are producing the same data over and over. Additionally, contemporary retroversion data is used as comparative figures. These subjects range from youth to professional baseball players, but the data on women is nearly obsolete. Bioarchaeology needs contemporary female retroversion data. Research was conducted at the University of Tennessee Knoxville where humeral …

Innovations in 3D tissue imaging have revolutionized research, but limitations stemming from lengthy protocols and equipment accessibility persist. Widefield microscopy is fast and accessible but often excluded from 3D imaging workflows due to its lack of optical sectioning. Here we combine tissue clearing with a commercial depth-variant deconvolution approach that we optimized for large-volume widefield imaging. By implementing prefiltering with z-brick splitting, we achieve subnuclear axial resolution in tissues to a depth of 500 µm in multi-tile scan images. We illustrate the utility of this method in a model of ileitis and to gain a 3D perspective in thick brain …

Jurnal Pendidikan: Teori, Penelitian, dan Pengembangan
The declining trend of Indonesian students' literacy competence has prompted researchers to examine how teachers' Dexiotita (competence) fosters literacy ecosystems within educational institutions. This inquiry also explores the relationship between students' Dexiotita (competence) literacy and teachers' Dexiotita (competence). A descriptive qualitative method, employing a case study approach, was utilized to examine phenomena in three schools located in the Kupang district of East Kupang sub-district. These schools were selected based on their representation of a diverse sample, with three schools each having a principal, 18 classroom teachers, and 225 students. The data collection process involved interviews, observations, and documentation, with the data …

Building Consensus For School Librarian Collaboration: A Delphi Study, Pamela C. Harland, Susan D. Ballard, Rachel V. Small
Learning Hub
This Delphi study engaged 38 national experts in school librarianship to develop a consensus-based model of school librarian collaboration (SLC) that reflects current practice. Through three iterative rounds the panel achieved strong consensus on a definition of SLC, a framework representing a continuum of collaborative practice, and necessary conditions for success. The resulting definition of SLC is "an educator-to-educator partnership to enhance student learning through complementary expertise that develops over time and is built on mutual trust, shared goals, and open communication." The seven levels continuum of SLC are: Autonomy, Curation, Contribution, Coordination, Integration, Partnership, and Assurance. These levels allow …

Core-Scale Study Of Miscible Co2 Foam–Oil Interactions, Kuvonchbek Abdirakhmonov
Core-Scale Study Of Miscible Co2 Foam–Oil Interactions, Kuvonchbek Abdirakhmonov
Thesis/ Dissertation Defenses
Foam is currently the most effective means for gas mobility control in a variety of geo-energy applications (Rossen et al., 2020), including enhanced oil recovery (EOR), carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS), and aquifer/soil remediation. This study investigates the mobility control of miscible CO2 foam in the presence of oil for CCUS. The primary objective is to quantify the impact of oil on CO2 foam behavior under miscible conditions, specifically examining foam stability, strength, and flow regimes as influenced by oil composition and reservoir permeability. While most oils destabilize foam, few studies explore the coarsening mechanisms of CO2 foam in …
