Predicting how long proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells will last is important for making them more reliable and reducing maintenance costs. However, most existing methods struggle to understand complex patterns in the data, leading to less accurate predictions. This paper introduces two new models to improve predictions. The first model, attention-based long short-term memory (ALSTM), is based on LSTM networks with an attention mechanism. This helps the model focus on the most important time steps in the data, making predictions more accurate. Agentic artificial intelligence is increasingly integrated into communication networks, enabling systems that perceive network state, reason over conditions, and execute actions on live infrastructure. As these systems act directly on operational environments, their behavior after failure remains insufficiently characterized: existing evaluation emphasizes throughput, latency, and accuracy, without capturing how systems recover after actions that affect network state. Earthquakes are one of the most life-threatening natural events, and scientists are always concerned about their forecast. Standard machine learning (ML) algorithms have difficulty earthquake alert level classification (EALC) problem. The study presents an ADASEL framework for EALC. The data is merged using a stacked ensemble learning approach, including base learners and meta-models. The basic learners include Extra Tree, random forest (RF), lightGBM, XGBoost, CatBoost, and Gradient Boosting. This study explores the self-identified strategies of asynchronous writing tutors, focusing on how they provide feedback in an online environment. The research addresses the underexplored area of asynchronous writing tutoring, which is often marginalized due to its perceived lack of interpersonal interaction. Through semi-structured interviews and screen recordings of seven writing tutors from three different institutions, the study identifies key strategies employed by tutors. These strategies include managing workloads, relying on intuition, building rapport with students, and seeking support from other tutors. Benchmarking Success: Insights From A Formal Assessment Of A Writing Fellows Program, Ghada Gherwash, Aaron Mills

This article reports on the first formal assessment of the Writing Fellows program at Colby College’s Farnham Writers’ Center, established in 2008. Unlike previous assessments at other institutions focused on perception or implementation, our assessment aimed to harness the potential of an already successful program. The creation of the Writing Fellows coordinator role and the implementation of intentional improvements resulted in a 99% increase in utilization rate in the 2022–2023 academic year. Our findings underscore the program’s significant impact of these interventions on student writing, faculty perceptions of academic support, and the writing center’s overall campus outreach efforts.

This article provides insight into how an accountability writing group for faculty of color supports faculty writers. It argues that targeted programming for faculty of color can serve as a modest anti-racist intervention into the white supremacist structures that often harm BIPOC faculty and their success in academia. Examining interview, survey, and registration data from a writing group for faculty of color, the article shows how the writing group functions as a counterspace, enabling participants not only to spend more time on their writing but to bring their full selves into an academic space and to form community. Such focus expands the community engagement discourse, highlighting how the act of stewardships creates a sense of shared responsibility of actors to their shared spaces and resources. In turn, this shared responsibility enables the community to shift from passive act of participation to active empowerment, creates social cohesion, and establishes local governance. Such a shift towards active empowerment and shared responsibility is the key in building systemic resilience, towards a more sustainable future for society.

The linear economy model has led to severe environmental degradation, prompting a shift toward the circular economy (CE) framework to promote sustainability. However, CE literature often overlooks grassroots, community-based initiatives in urban contexts, particularly in the Global South. This study addresses that gap by examining waste banks in Semarang, Indonesia, highlighting the critical importance of these grassroots initiatives within the broader discourse of community engagement. This study identifies and analyzes the factors, actors, and strategies that drive and inhibit SL institutionalization in higher education. Using the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, a systematic literature review analyzed 52 documents from seven academic databases (including WoS, Scopus, and ERIC). Environmental disasters have frequently been shown to impact the psycho-emotional states of humans, a phenomenon commonly termed eco-anxiety. Individuals who engage in close interactions with the environment may encounter more significant repercussions than other groups, including environmental volunteers. This study seeks to investigate the phenomenon of ecological anxiety among environmental volunteers. The study employed a qualitative phenomenological methodology, using three environmental volunteers as participants. Data were gathered through semi-structured, comprehensive interviews and analyzed using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). Background: The average turnover rate among newly graduated nurses (NGNs) in the United States is 25-30% within their first year, with increased rates in high-stress units like obstetrics and critical care. Many risk factors contribute to the high turnover rate of NGNs, but one modifiable factor is feelings of self-efficacy. Studies have shown that simulation training can increase self-efficacy in obstetric emergencies. Acute infections are commonly managed with debridement, antibiotics, and implant retention (DAIR), in which irrigation plays a critical role in reducing bacterial burden. Although irrigation protocols have been investigated in total hip and total knee arthroplasty, evidence specific to infected TAA remains unclear. This study explores how writing center consultants develop interpersonal communication (IPC) skills through relational interactions during peer tutoring sessions. Grounded in the theoretical framework of relationality, which views learning as emerging through relationships, I analyze interviews with undergraduate and graduate consultants at a private R1 university. The findings demonstrate that one-on- one conferences foster a broad spectrum of IPC skills, including adaptability, listening, intercultural communication, asking questions, building rapport, giving constructive criticism, setting boundaries, empathizing, and patience. The development of these knowledge and skills is cultivated through collaborative, meaning-making interactions with writers. As such, writing centers emerge as dynamic, relationship-driven …
