An approach utilizes overprovisioned optical connectivity, specifically leveraging high-density micro-LED technology, to establish a high-bandwidth, peer-to-peer communication fabric between modular units. By integrating silicon switching intelligence directly into the modular units, the approach can bypass the latency and contention issues associated with centralized fabrics. This disclosure relates to the evaluation and improvement of gaits in legged locomotion of humans, animals, and robots by superimposing a biomechanical figure selected from a spectrum of models onto the recorded motion of a test subject. For gait evaluation, a model is selected from a database to closely match the observed gait and existing performance parameters are obtained. For gait improvement, an incrementally superior model is selected from the database to provide enhanced performance goals. Post-market drug-safety procedures, known as pharmacovigilance, require a team of skilled physicians or epidemiologists to manually investigate each adverse event. This disclosure describes artificial intelligence (AI) agent-based, cloud computing techniques that automate the end-to-end cognitive workflow of investigating potential adverse drug events (ADEs). Moving beyond current techniques, which only perform statistical signal detection, the described techniques enable the determination of biological causality. Upon receiving a statistical signal of an adverse event, plausible biological hypotheses that can explain the signal are autonomously generated. Traditional linear, time-ordered discussion threads cause three deeply interconnected structural problems in online forums:

1. sedimentation of valuable content (both inside threads and across the forum),
2. thread hijacking / topic drift, and
3. structural harassment through off-topic flooding.

These problems are not primarily caused by malicious users but are inevitable by-products of forcing all discussion into a single chronological pipe.

The present study evaluated the independent effects of ovarian characteristics and oral propylene glycol (PG) supplementation on pregnancy rates in suckled beef cows subjected to the 7-day CO-Synch + CIDR fixed-time AI (FTAI) protocol across different seasons, body condition scores (BCS; 5-point scale), and parturition-to-FTAI intervals. Cows received a CIDR insert and 10 μg GnRH on day -10, followed by 25 mg PGF2α at CIDR removal on day -3, and another 10 μg GnRH 72 h later (day 0). This research project studied nursing PhD students at East Carolina University’s College of Nursing. These students have the opportunity to serve as graduate research assistants (GRAs) throughout their enrollment in the program. GRAs work with faculty on various research projects, including transcription services, recruitment, and data analysis. Given that less than 1% of nurses hold a PhD in nursing and that many who enroll do not graduate, evaluating the perspectives of current and former GRAs can provide valuable insights into our research question: How does serving as a GRA impact PhD nursing students’ academic progress and career trajectories? I study the relationship that preferences for meaningful work—work that provides utility through more than just income—have with wages and time spent working in a variety of scenarios by developing, calibrating, and validating a Roy-inspired structural model of occupational choice where heterogeneous households choose to provide standard and "meaningful" work, where each type of labor has a distinct wage. Within the framework of the model, I find that meaningful work is associated with lower wages and higher hours; that in response to exogenous transfers, households will work less overall but spend more time on meaningful work; that policies that mandate …

Some leaders in healthcare organizations lack effective leadership strategies and practices to influence and shape organizational culture, leading to inconsistent cultural values and behaviors that undermine organizational effectiveness and employee engagement. Grounded in transformational leadership theory, the purpose of this qualitative pragmatic inquiry was to explore strategies healthcare leaders use to shape organizational culture and strengthen employee engagement. Using purposive sampling, seven healthcare leaders with three or more years of experience were recruited from a medical institution. Data were collected through semistructured interviews using a protocol refined with the IPR method. Using reflective thematic analysis, five themes emerged: (a) employee-engagement …

White-collar crime comprises nonviolent, financially motivated offenses by individuals and corporate entities. The social costs are immense, yet the prosecution of such crimes is comparatively small compared to other forms of non-violent crime, often resolving with opaque settlements rather than prosecution. This study examines why under-prosecution is so prevalent in white-collar crime, how it undermines democratic trust, and what reforms could be implemented to improve accountability. Under-prosecution will be operationalized through a mixed-methods design, accounting for the most observable proxies. The growing interest in supersonic business travel has renewed focus on efficient, low-drag configurations that can achieve high performance while maintaining stability and structural integrity. This research investigates the aerodynamic and structural implications of adaptive folding wingtips on a tailless supersonic business jet (SBJ) concept designed under the SkyBreaker senior design program. Using a conceptual aerodynamic model based on linearized supersonic theory, the Polhamus leading-edge suction analogy, and an empirical compression-lift correlation, the study evaluates how varying wingtip droop angles influence lift, drag, lift-to-drag ratio (L/D), and static stability.
