This study examines what multilingual writers notice while they read their writing aloud, and whether reading aloud helps improve the accuracy of their writing during revision. It also investigates whether multilingual writers’ second language (L2) proficiency influences the extent to which reading aloud impacts revision. Extending prior work on present others, individuals who are not physically present in writing center sessions—such as advisors, colleagues, and peers—but who directly or indirectly impact what happens during consultations (Kranek & Carvajal Regidor, 2021), we argue that attending to present others is one way to more holistically support multilingual graduate writers. Based on data from session recordings, we contend that present others can be used as a framework to train consultants to better address the specific needs of this student population by acknowledging their socialization processes, feedback networks, language needs, and emotions. While one-to- one writing tutoring is often viewed as a supportive space for student writers, it can also reproduce racialized linguistic hierarchies that exacerbate anxiety for multilingual students. This article examines second language (L2) anxiety as a structurally induced emotional response to native-speakerism— the ideology that privileges white, Anglophone, native English speakers as the standard for language competence. Despite Malaysia's low leprosy prevalence, new cases continue to emerge in rural and Indigenous communities. National strategies often prioritise elimination and surveillance, while overlooking the needs and challenges of individuals affected by leprosy and those managing their care. This study employed a transdisciplinary research approach, guided by the Dialogue Model, to co-develop context-specific strategies to improve the lives of those affected through participatory engagement with both groups. Objective: To update the bibliometric profile of global SDF literature, focusing on publication trends, contributing countries, study designs and mapping thematic research evolution.

Material & Method: Publications were searched in the Scopus database from inception to 20 April 2025. Data were extracted and cleaned using biblioMagika® and OpenRefine. Study designs were manually classified through abstract review. Publication trends were analysed using SPSS software. Data visualisations were generated using VOSviewer and Biblioshiny.

Results: Of 727 records identified, 659 publications were included in the analysis. Laboratory studies (45.83%) dominated, followed by clinical trials (19.58%) and reviews/guidelines (15.78%). Publication output rose modestly until …

This study examines how financial management autonomy shapes talent strategies and, in turn, research productivity in China’s leading research institutions. This study examines the synergistic effects of hybrid fibers (HF) and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) fibers on the structural and thermal properties of silica-fume cement panels. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was employed to examine mortar mixtures with varying fiber content to assess their enhancement of microstructure. We conducted several experiments on compressive, flexural, and splitting tensile strength, in addition to water absorption and thermal conductivity. The results indicate that 1% HF exhibits superior mechanical qualities, with a compressive strength of 46.89 MPa, a flexural strength of 8.56 MPa, and a reduced thermal conductivity of 0.83 W/m•K. Managing speed limits in adverse weather is crucial for highway safety. Variable Speed Limit systems aim to adjust speed limits according to weather conditions, yet many traffic management centers depend on manual operator judgment. Rapid visibility fluctuations, along with operators handling multiple responsibilities, can cause delays in responding to deteriorating conditions, increasing the risk of rear-end collisions. A VSL control strategy is developed using real-time Road Weather Information System data to enable more proactive and effective adjustments. Modern DRAM scaling has reduced cell capacitance and increased thermal sensitivity, making disturbance-based faults such as RowHammer and RowPress increasingly significant reliability and security concerns. RowHammer induces bit flips through repeated row activations, while RowPress does so by holding a wordline open for an extended duration; both exploit inherent capacitive coupling and leakage mechanisms in dense DRAM arrays. This thesis introduces HeatHammer, a thermally assisted disturbance exploit that interleaves RowPress and RowHammer operations to amplify charge leakage and trigger row-traversing bit flips. Yield stress measurement in non-Newtonian fluids, particularly under complex flow conditions such as equibiaxial elongation, remains a significant challenge in experimental rheology. This work presents the development of a novel method, Continuous Lubricated Squeezing Flow (CLSF), designed to quantify the normal yield stress of viscoelastic materials while minimizing boundary artifacts.

The CLSF method was implemented and validated using Carbopol 940, a model yield-stress gel, at concentrations of 1 wt% and 2 wt%.
