Limited mineralogical and geochemical data for the TMS have been published. The data that do exist indicate that the formation is heterogeneous. Three crude oil samples from the Fahliyan Formation in ‘KG’ and ‘F’ fields in the northwest Persian Gulf, namely KG-031, F9A-3H and F15-3H for the geochemical study. In this study, the physicochemical properties, gas chromatography (GC, GC Mass) and (Detailed Hydrocarbon Analysis) DHA analyses for the collected Fahliyan oils were carried out. The API, Trace Element (Ni, V) and S% parameters indicated that the Fahliyan oil was generated from a source rock which deposited in reducing environment condition with a carbonate-shale compound lithology. However, fracture controlling factors must be combined with well data to achieve accurate fracture modeling. Biopolymers have been employed in enhanced oil recovery (EOR) due to their high viscosity and significant effects on waterflooding performance. Sodium alginate (NaAlg) is an excellent biopolymer that is extracted primarily from brown algae. It has been used in the biotechnology industry as a thickening agent, colloidal stabilizer, and oil recovery application. “Heavy oil resources account for a large portion of the total oil reserves around the world. The target heavy oil reservoir is located on Alaska’s North Slope (ANS). Advantages of low-salinity HPAM polymer (LSP) over high-salinity polymer (HSP) were demonstrated. LSP could recover more oil with 40% less polymer consumption. No additional oil was recovered by HSP after LSP flood. The first-ever polymer flood pilot on ANS showed remarkable success regarding water cut reduction, oil production increase, delayed breakthrough, and projected oil recovery improvement. For wells drilled in a bottom water-drive gas reservoir, water coning may lead to a considerable amount of water production which diminishes the gas recovery. Calcium carbonate (CaCO3) is naturally produced from calcite, limestone, chalk, and marble. It is being used as raw material in various industries (e.g., cement, plastic, paint, paper, and pharmaceutical industries). The low-grade CaCO3 samples obtained from a calcite plant at Khoktum Sub-district, Muang Lopburi District, Lopburi Province, Thailand were used in this study. These samples contain more than 98% of CaCO3 while Fe2O3 contents are higher than 0.1% and increased after finished the process. งานวิจันนี้มุ่งเน้นการศึกษาไฮโดรทรีตติง (hydrotreating) ของน้ำมันปรุงอาหารใช้แล้วบนตัวเร่งปฏิกิริยาซัลไฟด์ของนิกเกิลโมลิบดินัม (NiMoS2) แบบไม่มีตัวรองรับและมีตัวรองรับเตรียมโดยวิธีการสลายตัวต้วยความร้อน (hydrothermal) ตัวแปรของการศึกษานี้คือ ความเข้มข้นของสารตั้งต้น เวลาและอัตราส่วนอะตอม Ni/(Ni+Mo) ที่มีผลต่อผลได้และการเลือกเกิดอัลเคน จากผลการวิจัยพบว่า ผลิตภัณฑ์หลักที่ได้จากไฮโดรทรีตติงคือสารประกอบนอร์มัลอัลเคน n-C15, n-C16, n-C17 และn-C18 การเพิ่มความเข้มข้นของน้ำมันปรุงอาหารใช้แล้วมีผลทำให้ปฏิกิริยาเกิดไปทางดีคาร์บอกซิเลชันและดีคาร์บอนิลเลชันได้มากกว่าไฮโดรดีออกซีจีเนชัน ตัวเร่งปฏิกิริยาที่มีประสิทธิภาพสูงสุดให้ร้อยละผลได้ของ n-C15-18 คือ 0.2-NiMoS2/γ-Al2O3 ที่เตรียมด้วยวิธีการสลายตัวด้วยความร้อนสำหรับไฮโดรดีออกซิจีเนชัน ภายใต้สภาวะที่เหมาะสม คือที่อุณหภูมิ 300 องศาเซลเซียส ความดันไฮโดรเจนเริ่มต้น 40 บาร์ เวลาของปฏิกิริยา 3 ชั่วโมง ความเข้มข้นของสารตั้งต้นร้อยละ 5 โดยน้ำหนัก อัตราส่วนของตัวเร่งปฏิกิริยาต่อสารตั้งต้นคือ 0.15 (w/w) สำหรับไฮโดรทรีตติงของน้ำมันปาล์มใช้แล้วให้ร้อยละผลได้ของ n-C15-18 คือ ร้อยละ 55.1 โดยมวล (n-C15 = 6.7% n-C16 = 14.5% n-C17 = 11.8% และn-C18 = 22.1%) สำหรับไฮโดรทรีตติงน้ำมันถั่วเหลืองใช้แล้วให้ร้อยละผลได้ของ n-C15-18 คือ ร้อยละ 56.9 โดยมวล (n-C15 = 3.8% n-C16 = 6.7% n-C17 = 17.2% และn-C18 = 29.2%)

สารประกอบพอลิไซคลิกแอโรมาติกไฮโดรคาร์บอน (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, PAHs) เกิดจากปฏิกิริยาไดเอลส์-แอลเดอร์แอโรมาไทเซชัน (Diels- Alder aromatization) ในขั้นตอนการไพโรไลซิสของขยะพลาสติก ทำให้น้ำมันไพโรไลซิสจากขยะพลาสติก (waste plastic pyrolysis oil, WPPO) มีความเป็นพิษต่อสิ่งแวดล้อมในด้านการเกิด PM2.5 และเป็นอันตรายต่อร่างกายของสิ่งมีชีวิต ดังนั้นงานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาผลของตัวแปรต่างๆ เพื่อลดปริมาณ PAHs ใน WPPO ผ่านกระบวนการไฮโดรทรีตเชิงเร่งปฏิกิริยา และศึกษาสมบัติทางกายภาพและความร้อนของ WPPO ก่อนและหลังการกำจัด PAHs ด้วยเครื่องปฏิกรณ์แบบแบตช์โดยใช้ตัวเร่งปฏิกิริยานิกเกิลบนตัวรองรับเอสบีเอ 15 (Ni/SBA-15) และอะลูมินัมเอสบีเอ 15 (Ni/AlSBA-15) ที่อัตราส่วนโดยโมลของซิลิกาต่ออะลูมินัมเป็น 30 และ 50 ที่มีการเติมและไม่เติมกรดเอทิลีนไดอามีนเตตราอาเซติก (EDTA) สำหรับภาวะที่ศึกษาในการไฮโดรจิเนชัน ได้แก่ ระยะเวลาในการทำปฏิกิริยา (1-4 ชั่วโมง) อุณหภูมิ (250-325 องศาเซลเซียส) ความดันไฮโดรเจนเริ่มต้น (20-50 บาร์) และปริมาณตัวเร่งปฏิกิริยา (5-20 %โดยน้ำหนัก) ก่อนทำปฏิกิริยาตัวเร่งปฏิกิริยาถูกรีดักชัน (reduction) แบบเอ็กซ์-ซิทู (ex-situ) ที่ 550 องศาเซลเซียส เป็นเวลา 2 ชั่วโมง พบว่าเมื่อทำปฏิกิริยาไฮโดรทรีตติ้งในเครื่องปฏิกรณ์แบบแบตช์ที่อุณหภูมิ 300 องศาเซลเซียส ภายใต้ความดันไฮโดรเจนเริ่มต้นที่ 40 บาร์ เป็นเวลา 2 ชั่วโมง ตัวเร่งปฏิกิริยา Ni/SBA-15 สามารถลดปริมาณ PAHs ลงได้ถึง 84.6% ขณะที่ตัวเร่งปฏิกิริยาอื่นสามารถลดปริมาณ PAHs ได้น้อยกว่า จึงถูกเลือกมาใช้ในการไฮโดรทรีตติ้งเพื่อหาภาวะที่ดีที่สุด พบว่าภาวะที่ดีที่สุดในการลดปริมาณ PAHS โดยใช้ไฮโดรเจนเริ่มต้นที่ 40 บาร์ 300 องศาเซลเซียส เป็นเวลา 3 ชั่วโมง การใช้ตัวเร่งปฏิกิริยา Ni/SBA-15 สามารถลดปริมาณ PAHs ใน WPPO …

Foam is one of the most common used multiphase fluid in Underbalanced Drilling (UBD) and Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD). Because of its low density, high capacity of lifting and carrying cuttings, low cost and compatibility with formations, foam has become more superior than the conventional drilling mud when depleted reservoir pressure, severe lost circulation, or unstable borehole are encountered.
