In 2022-2023, the Learning & Outreach Services (LORS) department within the University of New Mexico’s Libraries responded to post-pandemic challenges with a renewed focus on project-driven strategic planning, setting an annual goal to develop a LORS-specific assessment program. The LORS assessment team grappled with how to operationalize the literature on library assessment at a level that makes sense for a department of 12 librarians within a larger library organization. The LORS assessment team ultimately developed a consensus-driven, appropriately scaled assessment framework tailored for our department’s scope and context. The framework includes a guidance document, an impact map, and planning templates. …

The study investigated challenges facing the utilization of mobile telephony in learning in some selected higher institutions of learning in Nigeria. The study adopted a descriptive survey using questionnaire to collect data. The population of the study consist of 355 students which were randomly picked from some selected higher institutions of learning in Nigeria. A total of the 355questionnaires were distributed only 309 were retrieved. Descriptive statistics, (mean and percentage) were used for analysis. This study investigated ICT skills and electronic information resource (EIRs) utilization among undergraduate sandwich students in Nigerian universities. The study employed a descriptive survey design. Six hundred sandwich students in 4 public universities in South-west Nigeria were randomly selected for the study. A close-ended questionnaire was used for data collection. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used for data analysis. The study found that the students have a high level of ICT skills and low EIR utilization. The proliferation of open access (OA) business models has been rapid, presenting challenges for stakeholders in communicating and working effectively with one another. This article aims to clarify terminologies and address the inconsistencies and gaps in previous attempts to categorize OA models, supporting informed decision-making. It presents five core types, each with distinct characteristics and implications for funding, equity, and implementation. Purpose: This study aims to examine the awareness and perception regarding the relevance of adopting blockchain technology for managing digital archives in academic libraries, Nigeria.

Design/methodology/approach: Ten system librarians who were chosen from five distinct academic libraries in Nigeria's Southwest geopolitical zone serve as the study's sample. An open-ended survey was used to gather data for the study, which took a strictly qualitative approach.

As funding agencies and publishers reiterate research data sharing expectations (1), many higher-education institutions have demonstrated their commitment to the long-term stewardship of research data by connecting researchers to local infrastructure, with dedicated staffing, that eases the burden of data sharing. Institutional repositories are an example of this investment (2). They provide support for researchers in sharing data that might otherwise be lost: data without a disciplinary repository, data from projects with limited funding, or data that are too large to sustainably store elsewhere. This study explored how librarians in Delta and Edo University libraries used social media to promote their services and resources. The study's population consisted of 127 librarians from federal, state, and private university libraries in the Delta and Edo states. The entire enumeration sample approach was used in the investigation. The data were examined with simple percentages, descriptive statistics, and inferential statistics (the mean was set at 2.50). Since the widespread adoption of social media in the 2010s, many libraries and archives have begun to use social media engagement as part of their outreach. While likes, retweets, and follows can be easily measured, there are also qualitative aspects of social media engagement that can illuminate other aspects of repositories' social media communication with their users. This article looks at historical trends in qualitative analysis of social media and suggests ways in which libraries and archives can incorporate qualitative analysis into their social media strategy.

This study aims to investigate the information-seeking behavior of the faculty members of Deeni madrassas in the Rawalpindi District. This study used the survey method, and data were collected using structured self-administered questionnaires to 246 faculty members with 209 returns. The study found that information seeking from various formal and informal information resources was to prepare class lectures, preaching, and research. Holy books were an important resource for teaching and preaching, and journals were the most important source for their research.
