The success of osseointegration depends on many factors. With temperatures beyond a 47 °C threshold over 1 min, bone survival may be impaired. The purpose of the study was to evaluate, in fresh human cadaver tibiae, the temperature changes during osteotomy preparations using two straight and two tapered implant systems' drills, external irrigation, and varying revolutions per minute (RPM). The tibiae from a fresh female cadaver were harvested bilaterally. Two tapered and two straight design drills were assessed. Hence, a novel dental data repository called BigMouth was developed, which has grown to include 11 academic institutions contributing Electronic Health Record data on over 4.5 million patients. Purpose: This Randomized Control Trial study aimed to compare between two designs of Precision Attachment Unilateral Removable Partial Denture, one conventional design and the other modified with bracing arm and mesial rest.

Materials and Methods: twenty male patients having Kennedy Class II mandibular edentulous ridges received the two designs in a split mouth study for a follow-up period of eighteen months. Probing Pocket Depth around abutment was measured. A standardized radiographic technique was used to evaluate bone height changes.

BACKGROUND: Nance-Horan syndrome (NHS) is a rare X-linked genetic disorder characterized by ophthalmologic and dental anomalies as well as dysmorphic facies. The clinical phenotype in males includes congenital cataracts, vision loss, microcornea, nystagmus, microphthalmia, glaucoma, screwdriver blade-shaped incisors, supernumerary maxillary incisors, diastema, delays, intellectual disability, and dysmorphic facies. With the evolution of array-CGH technology, a total of five kindreds with NHS have been reported in the medical literature with microdeletions encompassing the NHS gene rather than sequencing variants.
