Abstract: Objectives: The present review study aimed to provide a brief history of resin-based composites (RBC) as direct restorative materials and their evolution from macrofill to nanohybrid RBCs, as well as newly developed RBCs with bioactive, antimicrobial, and remineralizing properties. Methods: PubMed, Medline, Google Scholar, and Scopus were searched using the appropriate keywords. Case reports and non-peer-reviewed articles were excluded. Results: Among the 80 papers initially resulting from the literature search, 35 studies were reviewed and included. " This patient reported to the orthodontic clinic with an unrestorable crown due to minimal ferrule on #7. The patient was looking to avoid crown lengthening surgery and wanted to explore other potential options. A wax build up was created on #7 with a suckdown splint over in order to create space to complete rapid extrusion of the tooth. The patient wore an extrusion elastic for roughly 6 months. This patient presented to the orthodontic clinic with a chief complaint of multiple unerupted teeth in the upper left quadrant and one unerupted tooth in the lower left quadrant. Primary failure of eruption was the suspected diagnoses. The patient was told the teeth would need to be extracted by a previous oral surgeon and came in looking for other options. Through and through defects result in perforation of both alveolar cortical plates, buccal and lingual/palatal, at the apical region causing communication between the flapped tissues (usually buccal) and the unflapped tissues (usually lingual/palatal). Multiple approaches have been proposed to manage these defects using different regenerative materials such as resorbable membranes with or without graft material, calcium sulfate, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and platelet rich fibrin (PRF). Objective: This study aims to test the efficacy of 4 different irrigation systems against Enterococcus faecalis biofilm in a small root canal model. Materials & Methods: Distobuccal canals of human maxillary molars were instrumented to a standard 20/.04 taper and autoclaved. Canals were then infected with E. faecalis for 21 days. Teeth were randomly divided into 4 groups (15 teeth/group) and disinfected with either standard needle irrigation (SNI), ultrasonic activation (PUI), LEAP (L), or Gentlewave (GW). Objective: This study aims to test the hypothesis efficacy of 4 different irrigation systems against Enterococcus faecalis biofilm in a large root canal model (50.04) in extracted maxillary molar teeth. Materials & Method: This study used Maxillary human molar palatal canals (n=60) instrumented to a standard 50/.04 taper and autoclaved. Canals were infected with Enterococcus faecalis for 21 days. This project highlights the challenges that can be seen during endodontic treatment. Large canals are common amongst certain canals, such as the palatal canal of maxillary molars. However, large canals are even more predominately seen in pediatric patients. Obturation of these large canals often requires large gutta percha cones and/or warm vertical condensation. Furthermore, another common challenge that provider's must overcome are curved canals. This clinical case study focused on the restoration of oral function through the utilization of fixed and removable prosthetics to reconstruct the occlusal plane. The patient underwent a comprehensive treatment plan aimed at restoring lost tooth structure and restoring chewing functions. The patient presented with missing #8 and a large vertical bone defect from #7-#9. The patient's confidence had gotten worse due to the continuous failure of implants and missing a front tooth. Buccally placed tissue-level implants in the esthetic zone may encounter various challenges, particularly concerning the trajectory of the screw channel and the implant body's placement. In this case, while addressing an edentulous space in the upper left quadrant with an implant bridge spanning from #12 to #14 it became evident that #12 was far too buccally placed. To address this issue, #14 was designed for screw retention, while #12 was planned for cement retention to accommodate the screw channel exiting through the buccal cusp.
