During law school and afterwards, the one citation guide I relied on was The Bluebook. Its rules, explanations, and organization defined how I cited legal resources. Any limitations or gaps in The Bluebook caused me frustration and forced me to get creative, as I figured out solutions that seemed consistent with the rules.

Central Park Five Defamation Suit And Its Implications For Trump, Sarah Weiner
Cardozo Journal of Equal Rights and Social Justice (ERSJ) Blog
Yusef Salaam, Raymond Santana, Kevin Richardson, Antron Brown, and Korey Wise–collectively known as the “Central Park Five” or the “Exonerated Five”–were between the ages of fourteen and sixteen when they were accused and tried for the rape and assault of Trisha Meili in Central Park in 1989. While they were convicted and served considerable jail time, they maintained their innocence throughout, foregoing potential early release and parole. How Solar Scammers Threaten The Green Energy Movement, Chase Cohen
How Solar Scammers Threaten The Green Energy Movement, Chase Cohen
Cardozo Journal of Equal Rights and Social Justice (ERSJ) Blog
In response to rising energy costs[1] and escalating climate change anxiety, a growing number of Americans are ditching fossil fuels and seeking alternative, clean energy solutions to power their homes. While this is a positive step towards achieving carbon neutrality, there are associated risks, as some see this newfound demand as an opportunity to manipulate vulnerable consumers. As a result, bad actors within the clean energy industry exacerbate the problem of climate change by discouraging homeowners from embracing climate-friendly energy solutions due to fears of predatory lending, property damage, and exploitation.

Creating Educational Value By Teaching Law Students To Be Quasi-Mediators, John Lande
Creating Educational Value By Teaching Law Students To Be Quasi-Mediators, John Lande
Faculty Publications
Most mediation courses currently focus primarily on mediators’ perspectives and interventions during mediation sessions. Under the traditional view, mediators are the intervenors, and the parties, attorneys, and other participants in mediation sessions are the intervenees.
This article argues that mediation courses should provide balanced instruction of the roles of both mediators and attorneys by teaching students how to function as “quasi-mediators” when representing clients in mediation. As quasi-mediators, attorneys look for opportunities to reach reasonable agreements whenever appropriate, and they use mediation techniques to move the process in that direction. But they do not surrender their loyalty to their clients …

Should Legal Writing Professors Continue To Teach Traditional Legal Citation Rules For Parentheticals Despite The Increased Usage Of (Cleaned Up) Parentheticals?, Donna L. Eng
UF Law Faculty Publications
With the rise of (cleaned up) citations from practitioners and courts, Legal Writing Professors should continue to teach traditional legal citation rules for parentheticals. Teaching traditional legal citations for parentheticals will not only prepare students for the real world of legal writing expected by many courts, but will also help them to avoid ethical pitfalls that may result from the use of (cleaned up) citations. The author also calls for a return to the use of traditional legal citation rules for parentheticals to mitigate any further impacts on the evolution of jurisprudence, and to comply with a lawyer’s ethical duty …
