From the case, they would learn the history of Florida’s antiabortion statute and how it could be used to convict, of manslaughter, anyone who set out to cause a woman to miscarry. Franklin Laveale Anderson (Ex 1899), Rebecca Ciota

Only four years after the University of Colorado Law School’s 1892 opening, Franklin LaVeale Anderson (ex 1899) enrolled at the law school in 1896. Elements Of The Law Of Partnership, Floyd R. Mechem Jan 1899

Elements Of The Law Of Partnership, Floyd R. Mechem

Books

Several years ago the writer printed for the use of his class a brief course of lectures on Partnership. A wider demand for them having sprung up, they have been revised and reprinted in the hope that they may be useful to students elsewhere. They pretend to be nothing more than the mere elements of the subject, and the endeavor has been to keep them in small compass. The citation of authorities has been purposely limited to the leading and most readily accessible cases, and those cited have been selected rather as illustrations of the text than as authorities for …

This is particularly true of legal and medical education. In these departments the changes have been chiefly in the direction of more scientific methods and greater thoroughness. In the United States, until within a comparatively recent period, professional education in law and medicine was very largely obtained through an apprenticeship in the office of the practitioner. It is true that under the old regime, the medical student, if he aspired …

Elements Of The Law Of Negotiable Contracts, Elias Finley Johnson Jan 1898

Elements Of The Law Of Negotiable Contracts, Elias Finley Johnson

Books

“The cases here collected and annotated, have been selected by the undersigned, primarily for the use of students in his classes. To make a wise selection of cases from the large number that are to be found upon a particular subject is a most difficult task … It has been attempted here to select, as far as possible, the very earliest cases upon the particular subject, so that the student would thereby be able to get at the reason of the rule without reference to any statutory provisions.
