During this unit, students will review needs and wants and explore goods, services, consumers, and producers through a portfolio based summative assessment and collective class market simulation at the conclusion of the unit. Students will also learn about opportunity cost with an introduction to supply and demand. Students will practice applying their knowledge about goods, services, consumers, and producers with the creation and oral presentation of vocabulary based posters, small group research on examples of producers, and create a narrative writing piece in alignment with the class guest speaker.

Grounded in intersectional theory, this article explores the experience of LGBTQ+ students with disabilities. LGBTQ+ students with disabilities experience higher levels of bullying, harassment, suicidal ideation and other challenges in school. Post-school outcomes also reveal negative realities. Schools need to ensure that support is provided to students living at the intersection of LGBTQ+ identity and disability. Implications for school leaders, educational professionals, and educator preparation programs are discussed with recommendations for improving outcomes.

In the realm of Advanced Placement (AP) education, a persistent achievement gap exists, with low-socioeconomic students consistently underperforming compared to their affluent peers. This disparity is particularly notable in AP English Language and Composition, where 93% of students fail to achieve a score of three or higher, the score for earning college credit. Youth co-researchers led the data collection, analysis, and creation of archival resources to capture community literacies, histories, and stories that expanded beyond traditional print-centric resources and archival collections management systems.
