The purpose of this qualitative embedded case study is to examine how applying multimedia theories in online courses can enhance vocabulary acquisition, retention, and production among adult English as a Second Language (ESL) learners at a non-profit organization in Ontario, Canada. Guided by Mayer’s Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning (CTML), the study probes how ESL learners effectively transfer, retain, and produce new vocabulary. The purpose of this transcendental phenomenological study was to understand lived experiences in young adults with Asperger’s syndrome (AS) as they transitioned out of high school after completion of quality-of-life training. The theories guiding this study were Ivan Pavlov’s classical conditioning and Adam Morton’s theory of mind in predictive behaviors. Pavlov’s theory relates to understanding whether individuals could be classically conditioned to reinforce a natural reflex or some involuntary behavior that would occur as a response to classical conditioning. The purpose of this quantitative, correlational study was to discover the influence of teacher-student relationships on teachers’ math self-efficacy and math anxiety in first through third-grade students. This research was significant since the results inform and guide educational training, evaluations, and classroom management. This study was composed of 13 teachers and 84 students in the first through third grade classrooms in a Mid-Atlantic State. Building on the foundations of Adult Learning Theory and Pentecostal epistemology, this study examined the instructional practices of Pentecostal clergy. Utilizing the Principles of Adult Learning Scale [PALS] and a survey of basic demographic information, the instructional methodologies of certified, licensed, and ordained clergy in the Northern New England, Pennsylvania-Delaware, Arkansas, and Northwest districts of the Assemblies of God were examined. This ex post facto, causal-comparative quantitative study assessed the math and English language arts (ELA) 7th to 8th-grade academic growth among Black students enrolled in Philadelphia’s black-operated public charter schools, non-black operated charter schools, and traditional public schools while controlling for 6th-grade exam scores. Over 65 years after Brown versus Board of Education disallowed public school segregation, the academic achievement gap between Black and white students persists. The purpose of the transcendental phenomenological study was to describe science teachers' lived experiences using reading strategies to improve literacy skills and prepare elementary, middle, and high school students for high-stakes science exams in the Southeast Region of the United States. At this stage in the research, literacy skills are students' abilities to gain and create knowledge through reading, listening, speaking, and writing. The theory that guided this study was Bandura's social cognitive theory regarding self-efficacy, as it examined how teachers perceived their ability to implement reading strategies in the science classroom.
