The difficulties of delivering clinical services during the pandemic showed that there was a need for interventions that were able to be adapted to virtual sessions. In addition, lack of training and expertise regarding specialized therapies require modern day clinicians to be able to synergize current theory with the reality of the mental health landscape. In this study, 19 individuals participated in a psychoeducation group that taught a therapeutic thought mapping technique that was then adapted towards the creation of a haiku. Frances Perkins And The Women Reformers Behind The New Deal, Judy D. Whipps

Frances Perkins, the first female Cabinet member, was the creative force behind most New Deal legislation. She was responsible for Social Security and the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938. These bills instituted federal policies that had been the focus of women social reformers starting in the 1890s. The forty-year struggle for the abolition of child labor, labor safety standards, minimum wage, and eight-hour workdays had been led by current and former Hull House residents, such as Jane Addams and Florence Kelley. The Impact Of Athlete Activism Against Social Justice: A Research Study Of Young Adults Perspectives, Lauren Bryson Dentler

Student Theses and Dissertations

Political and Social issues have encompassed the athletic nature of sport. Athlete activism has been increasingly more common. Specifically, Colin Kaepernick and Megan Rapinoe have been two prominent activists to advocate for inequalities. 379 respondents, collected from Mount Vernon High School and Amazon Mechanical Turk (MTurk) participated in a study using questionnaires adopted from Sappington (2019) and Torres-Harding (2011). The Social Justice Scale (SJS) is an 11-item questionnaire measuring activism and The Attitudes of Athlete Activism Questionnaire (ATAAQ) contained 19-items that thoroughly measure athlete activism perspectives.
