مازالت تستخدم الحكومات التركية المتعاقبة مياه نهر الفرات وسيلة للضغط على جارتها سوريا. وذلك بسبب علاقاتها المتوترة معها ، على مدى عقود طويلة من القرن الماضي ، منذ الاستقلال الرسمي لسوريا عام 1946 ، بسبب مشاكل الحدود ، وعدم اعتراف سوريا بضم لواء الإسكندرونة إلى تركيا ، الأمر الذي اعتبرته جزء لا يتجزأ من الأراضي السورية ، بالإضافة إلى مياه نهر الفرات التي استغلتها تركيا كبلد المنشأ ، حيث أقامت مشاريع انشأت مشاريع كبيرة أبرزها مشروع الغا ب, دون استشارة تركيا. ، وتأمين حصتها المائية الأمر الذ ي, أثر سلبا على انخفاض تدفق ميا ه النهر ، وهو المصدر الرئيسي …

أدركت القيادة الهندية منذ استقلال الهند عام 1947 ، حقيقة أن لها مصالح سياسية ودبلوماسية ثابتة في منطقة غرب آسيا، وأن شبه القارة الهندية وغرب آسيا قد عانتا طيلة قرون من الهيمنة الاستعمارية، ممّا اوجد توافق بين قادة المنطقتين. فكان نتاج ذلك التوافق المُعارضة الهندية للاستعمار وللاستيلاء على أراضي الغير بالقوّة، إذ عملت الهند على تقوية الصلات التأريخية مع البلدان العربية، وساندتهم في حرب التحرير ضدّ الاستعمار الغربي، فقد ارتكزت سياسة الهند حيال غرب آسيا بشكل رئيس إلى تعزيز المصالح الهندية في المنطقة بحكم الجوار الجغرافي. في ضوء ذلك، جاء هذا البحث ليُسط الضوء على السياسة الهندية حيال الصرع العربي …

This project takes a look at an interwoven system of familial, religious, social, and economic ties known as the Protestant International. By analyzing genealogies, correspondence, business records, and transactions of the Mazyck Family from the early eighteenth century, it is seen that these international connections often led to the further material success of these families. This project also takes a look at how the Protestant International aided in shifting the vast majority of Huguenots’ identity from being religiously persecuted refugees to being wealthy merchants and planters who formed trade relations both domestically and internationally.
