The aim of this paper is to explore a fundamental convergence between Lewis and Barth in their understanding of the w/Word of God, or the ground of their respective doctrines of Scripture. Lewis, like Barth, distinguished between the word of God (Scripture) and the Word of God (Christ). Each asks and answers the question: What is the relationship between Scripture and Christ? In his lunar tale, “Forms of Things Unknown,” and in his Martian story, “Ministering Angels,” what aspects of the older cosmological model can be discerned? Are they in keeping with what Ward claims are the essences of Luna and Mars, as Lewis understood them? And what, if any, theological points may Lewis be making in these two tales? This presentation tracks the historical manipulation of the anti-Semitic rhetoric, from the conservative Jewish reactions against the American Council of Judaism during WWII, to contemporary ones against the anti-Zionist activism of JVP. It also provides an insight into the scholarly and structured arguments proposed by JVP’s contributors against the anti-Semitic label and libel, and ultimately seeks to denounce the lexical and ideological manipulation of the anti-Semitism – both as a term and a phenomenon – by conservative parties for conservative prospects.

The paper examines Russian disinformation from both a historical and contemporary context and how its effect on Western democracies may only be exacerbated in light of Chinese involvement and evolving technologies. Fortunately, the paper also studies practices and strategies that the United States Intelligence Community and its allied foreign counterparts may use to respond. It is hoped that this study will help shed further light on Russian and Chinese disinformation campaigns and explain how the Intelligence Community can efficiently react.
