Problems And Progress In The Development Of Girls' Education In India, Rozaline Jean Cleaveland

Graduate Thesis Collection

In a country where only 2.53 per cent of the female population is literate, the importance of education for girls cannot be overestimated. Pastoral Counseling : A Survey And Analysis Of The Practices In The California Nevada Conference Of The Methodist Church, Elliott Adkisson

University of the Pacific Theses and Dissertations

The place of counseling in the pastor's task has been the subject of much research and study during the past few decades. The consensus of those concerned with defining the pastor's task seems to be that counseling is a vital need of parishioners in all churches and that responsibility for counseling usually lies with the pastor.

In a sincere attempt to meet the needs of their people many pastors are genuinely trying to equip themselves to provide counseling services. The problem that naturally needs evaluation is: The Present Status of Pastoral Counseling.

The objectives that ultimately evolve in this investigation …

A Reinterpretation Of The Yalta Conference With Particular Emphasis On The Role Of Franklin D. Roosevelt, M. Dudley Igo

University of the Pacific Theses and Dissertations

We know that World War II did not bring the lasting peace everyone hoped and assumed it would bring. The United States, along with other Western powers, now finds itself in a seeming life and death struggle with the Soviet Union and its satellites, with both sides arming for another possible global war. Everyday brings new and deeper problems for the United States and the West in both Asia and Europe. The Yalta Conference was the culminating and most far-reaching of all the conferences of Roosevelt, Stalin, and Churchill. At Yalta the basic decisions were made regarding what these leaders …
