Published as a series sponsored by the Smithsonian Institution Bureau of American Ethnology, the “River Basin Surveys Papers” are a collection of archeological investigations focused on areas now flooded by the completion of various dam projects in the United States. The River Basin Surveys Papers (numbered 1-39) were mostly published in bundles with 5-6 papers in each bundle. In collaboration with the United States (US) National Park Service and the US Bureau of Reclamation, the US Department of the Interior, and the US Army Corps of Engineers, the Smithsonian Institution pulled archeological and paleontological remains from several sites prior to …

Also included are informational sections such as a history of the school, class directory, superlatives, a nurse's prayer, class history, poems, class prophecy, class will, patrons, and advertisements. In this copy, a handwritten inscription on the front endsheet reads: "Property of Miss Louise Willis" and "Mrs Louise Vaughan Willis" Additionally, the word "Dead" is handwritten next to several photographs throughout the yearbook.

When one reads many of the long narrative poems of Robinson Jeffers, one wonders at the characters who act out their lives against a backdrop of the contemporary California coastal region. The characters live isolated lives as ranchers, farmers, and farm women; they go about the business of eking out an existence, of cultivating their land, of caring for their livestock. Often, they commit horrible, unnatural acts and always, they or their families are involved in episodes which result in death or injury. It is the purpose of this study to trace in part Hull's role as implementer of the Good Neighbor policy particularly in the Western Hemisphere. Hull was an internationalist.
