The Octofoil is the offical publication of the Ninth Infantry Division Association, Inc., an organization formed by the officers and men of the 9th Infantry Division in order to perpetuate the memory of fallen comrades, preserve the esprit de corps of the Division, promote peace and serve as an information bureau about the 9th Infantry Division. The Association is made up of 9th Infantry veterans from WWII and Vietnam, spouses, widows and lineal descendants.

The article details the celebration of Battalion Day festivities in the town of Mt. Bethel (Williamsburg) in the year 1847.

These resolutions, adopted by the Three Affiliated Tribes Business Council on August 18, 1954, were sent by Three Affiliated Tribes Tribal Chairperson Martin Cross to United States (US) Senator William Langer. The first resolution proposes redistricting the Fort Berthold Reservation for better tribal council representation. The second resolution pertains to the distribution of funds held in trust for the Three Affiliated Tribes from the construction of the Garrison Dam. This report from the United States (US Senate Committee on Interior and Insular Affairs, dated August 17, 1954, was written to accompany US House Resolution 2233 which recommended that the United States acquire additional lands for construction of the Oahe Dam. Construction of the Oahe Dam required that the US Government take lands from the Cheyenne River Sioux, similar to the taking of lands from the Three Affiliated Tribes. This report and any related files are made available to the online through the Lester F. Larsen Tractor Test and Power Museum as resources allow. Established in 1998, this museum is located on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln East Campus. It is and appropriately housed within the walls of the historic 1920 Nebraska Tractor Test Laboratory, where the first tractor test was started on March 31st, 1920. Moore and was published in The Index-Joumal in three installments, appearing on Aug. 12, Aug. 26 and Aug. 27, 1954. Th author, who now makes his home at Mount Pleasant. S. C., first wrote a shorter sketch about Cokesbury which was published in two installments in the Charleston (SC) News and Courier in February 1954.
