The Linguistic Structure In 'Dafatir Al-Warraq' By Jalal Bargas: 'The Notebooks Of The Papermaker' Novel Between The Act Of Notation And The Speech Of Thresholds, Nidal Al-Shamali, Murad Al-Bayarri

Jordan Journal of Applied Science-Humanities Series

This study explores the linguistic structure and text thresholds in Jalal Barjas's 2020 novel 'Dafatir al-Warraq.' The novel creates a narrative language grounded in a philosophical context of text thresholds, forming a basis for inquiries inspired by the painful realities of contemporary life. The narrative language and its thresholds play a mediating role, integrating other elements, despite a division that reflects the hero’s schizophrenia and his loss of the correct path.

Hence, the study aims to evaluate the language of narration by considering narrative writing as an approach to storytelling. This approach led to the novel being narrated once in …

And indeed, that is what they got. Animation has developed alongside the film industry, achieving great success in the process. This thesis will define animation and its place within visual effects, critically analyze categories of character design, theme, and story while demonstrating their relationship with animation, and contrast animation with live action films to understand its strengths and differentiations. This thesis studies the education system and national identity of Manchukuo the nationstate (1932-1945). In September of 1932, the Japanese army staged the "Mukden Incident," a bombing of a railway line near Shenyang that was used as a pretext for the invasion of Manchuria. Following the incident, the Japanese established the state of Manchukuo with the last emperor of China, Puyi, as its nominal head of state. The establishment of Manchukuo marked the beginning of Japan's aggressive expansion in Asia and its militarization of the region. It also marked the start of Japan's effective control over large portions of Northeast …

Ethnicity, Identity, And Conceptualizing Community In Indian Ocean East Africa, Daren E. Ray

This volume explores how the people of littoral East Africa imagined and reimagined their communities over two millennia of engagement with Indian Ocean transformations—from the settlement of Bantu speakers near the coast around the first century CE to their participation in transoceanic commerce, imperial rivalries, colonial projects, and decolonization movements in the mid-twentieth century. Like other histories of the Indian Ocean, it emphasizes the circulation of people and ideas, but its cis-oceanic approach demonstrates how these littoral communities continued to integrate strategies from those in Africa’s interior as well as from people who traveled the ocean.
