Purpose: The purpose of this mixed-methods study is to identify and describe behaviors that reflect the character, inspiration, relationships, vision, and wisdom that African American technology leaders use to create personal and organizational meaning for themselves and their followers. It was also the purpose to rate how followers perceive their leader’s behaviors related to character, inspiration, relationships, vision, and wisdom in creating personal and organizational meaning.

Methodology: The qualitative portion of this mixed-method study involved face-to-face interviews with African American technology leaders, while the quantitative segment consisted of electronic surveys completed by their followers. The quantitative survey assessed followers’ perceptions …

Le terrorisme islamiste bouleverse les sociétés contemporaines et appelle une réponse multidisciplinaire intégrant les volets militaire, juridique, politique et religieux. La littérature, par sa portée réparatrice, participe à cette lutte. L’œuvre Mécaniques du chaos de Daniel Rondeau illustre cette dynamique en dénonçant l’extrémisme violent et en analysant les mécanismes sociaux, religieux et économiques qui le nourrissent. Elle met en lumière la capacité de la parole littéraire à prévenir la radicalisation en favorisant une culture du dialogue et de la compréhension.

Avec plus de 60 % de la population mondiale active sur les plateformes numériques, les réseaux sociaux constituent un terrain fertile pour la désinformation religieuse, incluant les fausses nouvelles ciblant des groupes religieux et la déformation de textes sacrés. La propagation rapide résulte de motivations politiques et économiques, de l’ignorance, du fanatisme religieux et des biais médiatiques. Les utilisateurs contribuent à cette diffusion en partageant du contenu sans vérification. Le débat oppose deux approches principales : l’essentialisme et l’approche circonstancielle. D’une part, les partisans de l’essentialisme estiment qu’il faudrait une transformation de l’éthos musulman lui-même pour que la laïcité réussisse. This research investigates the influence of social media on political change and the role of digital activism, with a particular emphasis on the obstacles of disinformation and polarism. The employed approach is a qualitative research examining literature pertinent to network society, political participation, and collective action theories. The findings indicate that social media enhances and broadens political mobilization by reducing participation barriers, enabling individuals to engage in political activity more inclusively. Nonetheless, obstacles such as political polarization and the proliferation of disinformation pose substantial impediments to the efficacy of digital engagement. Information about non-halal labels is regulated by Law No. 33 of 2014 concerning Halal Product Guarantees. Article 93 states that products originating from prohibited materials must include non-halal details in the form of images, writing, or the name of the material with a different color in the composition of the material, for example red. In 2014, the Head of the Halal Registration and Certification Center at the BPJPH Ministry of Religion explained that his party would regulate the use of non-halal labels for non-halal products in the Minister of Religion regulations. The study presents an in-depth analysis of the COVID-19 pandemic’s effect on Ghana’s gross domestic product (GDP), balance of payments and international investment position (BPM6), and inflation (INFL). Employing a pre-and post-COVID-19 comparison (2017-2022) through repeated measures ANOVA and tests of between-subject effects, it investigates whether the government’s economic performance was significantly impacted. Key findings show a notable decrease in GDP and BPM6, alongside a major increase in inflation rates post-pandemic. The study concludes that the COVID-19 pandemic had a statistically significant impact on Ghana’s economic performance in terms of GDP and BPM6, but not inflation. The fossil fuel and petrochemical sector in the Louisiana region, known as "Cancer Alley," has a devastating impact not only on the environment but also on the health and lives of the local population. Extreme pollution from the petrochemical industry not only elevated cancer rates in this region but also maternal, reproductive, and newborn health harms, respiratory diseases, and other complex health issues. This summer, I had the privilege of studying at the renowned Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts (FAMU) in Prague through the Emerson College Prague Program, thanks to financial support from the Let’s Go Fund. The program was intense, requiring rapid pre-production, filming, and editing of original short films. I worked on multiple sets, developing key skills in problem-solving and collaboration. Beyond filmmaking, I formed close bonds with fellow students while exploring Prague’s rich culture. I’m deeply grateful to the Let’s Go Fund for making this transformative experience possible.
