During a very difficult time in my life I found emotional and spiritual healing during time spent immersed in creation. My guide on this journey, other than the human companions who were concerned for me during my loss, has been a horse. Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder In Secondary Instrumental Music Ensembles: A Qualitative Intrapersonal Inquiry, Christopher Sakowski

Executive function is deficient in individuals with ADHD. Playing a musical instrument has been shown to improve executive functions. This study examined if participants with ADHD perceived a connection between playing an instrument in a music ensemble and improved executive functioning, as well as improved ADHD presentations. The research design used for this study was a basic qualitative design, focusing on phenomenological intrapersonal inquiry. Data collection was done entirely through 60-120 minute semi-structured interviews with both music educators and non-music school personnel that participated in instrumental music ensembles as young students. This project paper is to analyse and understand Musang King Durian (MSKD) for its fruit, plantation, and market, especially its export to the China market. A comparison is also made with Thailand’s Monthong durian. Research findings are used to recommend solutions to the identified challenges. Porter’s Five Forces model and SCCMT are applied to provide in-depth figures supporting the proposed recommendations. The study includes a projection of China’s durian market size in 2030, identifying that Malaysia’s MSKD is capable of achieving 10 percent of China’s market share. Through the framework of orientalism, this paper examines the historicism behind satirical illustrations created by artists and editors in Puck Magazine which depict the Boxer Rebellion, spanning from 1899 to 1902. In doing so, I aim to explore the nuances in which mass-produced visual satire seeks to justify Western hegemony. Widely published and distributed in the United States, Puck was a satirical magazine from the late 19th and early 20th century, and one of the first satirical magazines to contain colored lithographic covers. Puck further contributed to discourse over the “Yellow Peril” by employing caricature art and passages of punchlines …

Latin American literature has depicted warrior woman and trans warrior characters in armed conflicts, but literary critics have not paid much attention to their empowerment. They also have critiqued these characters using traditional gender binary concepts or have viewed their access to power as evil or abnormal. Warrior Women and Trans Warriors: Performing Masculinities in Twentieth-Century Latin American Literature introduces a new perspective by analyzing how one trans warrior and two warrior women from three canonical novels contest traditional codes of behavior and appearance.
