Letter, 6 March 1964, of Harriette Simpson Arnow, Ann Arbor, Michigan, to “Mrs. Holland,” in response to a compliment for her novel Hunter’s Horn. Arnow briefly recalls her publications since The Dollmaker and notes “unenthusiastic” reviews in Kentucky of her most recent work. She also mentions an article about her in the previous fall’s Louisville Courier-Journal Magazine [8 December 1963].

Why Simpler Arguments Are Better, Moti Mizrahi
Arts and Communication Faculty Publications
In this paper, I argue that, other things being equal, simpler arguments are better. In other words, I argue that, other things being equal, it is rational to prefer simpler arguments over less simple ones. I sketch three arguments in support of this claim: an argument from mathematical proofs, an argument from scientific theories, and an argument from the conjunction rule.

In his August 20, 2015 interview with Michelle Dubert-Bellrichard, Bob Gorman describes his career at Winthrop from 1986-2014, and his involvement in the Vote of No Confidence in 1995. Gorman compares the Winthrop of 1986 to the Winthrop of today and recounts the history of Presidents from 1986 to the present. This interview was conducted for inclusion into the Louise Pettus Archives and Special Collections Oral History Program.
