New affordable head-mounted displays and interactive virtual technologies provide opportunities for researchers and practitioners to create and experience mindfulness. The use of virtual reality for art-based mindfulness practices is novel and promotes full-body, immersive experiences to improve mood, however, researchers and practitioners have a limited understanding of mindfulness and creativity in the virtual environment. This paper identifies the research gap by examining how active art-based mindfulness practices in virtual reality promote mindfulness, compared to passive methods such as viewing a virtual image to experience relaxation. Indonesia’s coastal and archipelagic regions are vulnerable to disasters such as earthquakes, tsunamis, and floods. In this context, community service activities require participatory and educational approaches that are easily understood by people of various ages and backgrounds. This article discusses the use of visual aids—such as infographics, leaflets, animated videos, illustrations, and x-banners—as tools for disaster education. Through a literature review of four articles on community service programs, this study finds that visual aids are effective in increasing disaster risk awareness, reinforcing visual memory of mitigation procedures, and engaging vulnerable groups such as children and indigenous communities. This research aims to identify the characteristics of tourism videos by conducting a content analysis of the "Saudi Spirit" platform on YouTube during the period from February to April 2024. The research problem revolves around understanding the characteristics of tourism videos on the "Saudi Spirit" YouTube platform. The study adopted a quantitative descriptive approach and a content analysis tool as a suitable method for analyzing video content. This study aims to identify Saudi university youth's motives for exposure to cinematic films and the gratifications achieved through digital platforms. The researcher applied the descriptive approach and the questionnaire tool to a sample of (92) students from King Abdulaziz University. The study concluded with many results, most notably: The motives of Saudi university youth's exposure to watching cinematic films through digital platforms were represented by entertainment at a rate of 98%. The paper summarizes the effects of natural obligations in the Saudi Civil Transactions Law. It aims to define the nature of natural obligations, which are based on the element of indebtedness without the element of liability, such that the public authority cannot compel the debtor to fulfill them. The paper adopted a fundamental jurisprudential study and compared the legal term with the jurisprudential term used by the Saudi legislator, namely "religious obligation" as opposed to judicial obligation. Background: Nature connectedness significantly impacts mental health and well-being, offering a non-pharmacological approach to help reduce symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress. Objectives: The aim of this study was to explore the relationship between nature connectedness and mental health such as depression, anxiety, stress, well-being and emotional affects. Methods: A total of 588 participants (aged 18 years and over) were recruited from the general Saudi population to complete the Arabic version of Inclusion of Nature in Self (INS) scale, Depression Anxiety Stress Scales-21, and The Positive and Negative Affect Schedule. This research presents an analytical study of selected issues from Al-Hāwī al-Kabīr by Imam al-Māwardī, which have been described as al-aqyas (the most analogous). The study aims to analyze these jurisprudential issues, which are based on the principle of qiyās (analogical reasoning), and to apply uṣūlī principles—particularly the objections (qawādiḥ al-qiyās)—to determine the basis for preferring one analogy over another. The significance of this study lies in the need to enrich uṣūl al-fiqh (principles of Islamic jurisprudence) with applied jurisprudential examples and to enhance researchers' ability to differentiate between various analogical arguments, a fundamental aspect of juristic reasoning (ijtihād).
