After the Second World War, manufacturing plants were no longer needed for wartime production levels, prompting the closure and repurposing of industrial facilities that became obsolescent overnight across the United States and in the manufacturing region of Southeastern Michigan. Located twenty miles west of Detroit, the Willow Run airfield in Ypsilanti was one such case. Best known for the massive B-24 Liberator manufacturing plant designed by Albert Kahn that opened in 1942 as Air Force Plant 31, the airfield played a key role in ending the war. The study aims to explore Shariah governance literature by deploying a hybrid approach that fuses structured literature review with bibliometric analysis. The hybrid approach highlights emerging trends, influential aspects, most occurring keywords, intellectual clusters, emerging themes, and avenues for future research. Existing literature features limited coverage and overlooks some essential dimensions of Shariah governance. We bridge these gaps through two contributions: (1) we underscore previously overlooked, yet important themes like Shariah audit, compliance, and reporting; and (2) we do not impose any restrictions for time or region in our sample. This study assesses the claim that Islamic finance, with its risk-sharing, low levels of indebtedness, and asset-backed characteristics, offers a viable alternative to conventional finance during crises. Through bibliometric mapping and a systematic literature review, we explore the performance of Islamic financial systems during various crises, including the recent COVID-19 pandemic. Using VOSviewer and RStudio, we analyze 555 articles from the Scopus database to identify prominent clusters in Islamic finance, particularly focusing on its resilience during crises. This exploratory study investigates strategies to promote the participation of Mauritian women in Artificial Intelligence (AI). Using a mixed-method approach, the research evaluates the current state of AI in Mauritius, identifies challenges faced by women in pursuing AI careers, and proposes evidence-based strategies for fostering gender inclusion in the sector. Primary data were collected through surveys administered to Information, Communication, and Technology (ICT) professionals, and quantitative analysis was conducted using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) 27.0. The integration of digital technologies has significantly transformed the landscape of Islamic education in Nigeria, enhancing accessibility to religious knowledge while simultaneously reinforcing pre-existing socio-cultural disparities. Utilizing an intersectional analytical framework, this study critically explores how gender, socio-economic diversity, and Islamophobia collectively influence experiences within digital Islamic learning environments. Employing qualitative feminist methodologies, I conducted semi-structured interviews from November to December of 2024 with Islamic scholars, educators, students, and general digital platform users from Lagos, Ilorin, and Maiduguri. In their 17 Sustainable Goals (SDGs) for 2030, the United Nations (n. d.) places the goal of “achieve[ing] Gender Equality and empower[ing] all women and girls” at the fifth spot as SDG 5. However, reports from 2016 reveal that the SDGs mainly focus on issues concerning heterosexual cisgender women and girls, with no reference to the LGBTQ community (United Nations, 2016). This oversight raises concerns about the inclusivity of SDG 3, which aims to “ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages” (United Nations, n.d.), but its application to people with diverse gender identities remains unclear. The rise of women gamers has driven demand for emotional virtual experiences, particularly in otome games with romantic narratives. Offering a hybrid methodology, this study analyzes character portrayals in three popular Chinese otome mobile games—Mr. Love: Queen’s Choice, Light and Night, and Tears of Themis—while also exploring the responses of women players through semi-structured interviews. The findings reveal that women protagonists in otome games are often young, dependent on men characters, and hold subordinate roles, thus underscoring the presence of traditional gender norms. This study investigates how feminist ideas are taking shape in contemporary Vietnam, focusing on how young women engage with social media—particularly university confession pages—as sites for emotional expression, identity negotiation, and resistance to traditional gender norms. This essay examines the ways anti-Blackness is manifested in Vietnam through Facebook anti-fans’ reactions to Disney’s The Little Mermaid (2023) starring Halle Bailey, a Black American actress, in the role of Ariel. Analyzing the racist and colorist remarks within Facebook users’ comments and posts about the movie and utilizing misogynoir as the main concept of critique, the author demonstrates the phenomenon of anti-Black misogyny in Vietnam and focuses on the “I’m not racist, but…” trope. Jeju Island, located on the remote periphery of the Korean peninsula and historically a site of exile, has become a popular destination for domestic migration over the past decade. Drawing on Michel Foucault’s notion of heterotopia as a methodological framework and taking Jeju Island as an example to reveal “islandness,” this paper discusses how the island is imagined and represented in Korean society. When clarifying Spinoza’s concept of affect, Deleuze declares, “Hope as such or love as such represents nothing, strictly nothing.” In this paper, I approach the question of love by taking a detour of nonhuman affinity. First, I present this paper as an experimental becoming that weaves through heterogeneous lines of thinking and creating. Second, explicating the Deleuzian-Guattarian notion of “abstract machine” alongside Isabelle Stengers’s figure of “inappropriable unknown,” I argue for viewing the cosmos and art as interconnected abstract machines that foster novel realities and communities. This paper describes an approach to STEAM education in which art is viewed as a unique discipline with distinct ways of thinking. The researchers developed and evaluated a STEAM education program to explore how art and science work together to expand and accelerate inventive thinking among Native American middle school students who participated in American Indian Services (AIS) Pre-Freshman Engineering Program (PREP). Queer Catholic Families (QCF) negotiate a complicated landscape of belonging and exclusion in the church that they love. In this dynamic, shame figures as a theological and moral qualifier of their experience when observed through the lens of the Catholic Church's teaching on sexuality and gender. Understanding how shame is experienced in these families, how it deepens a rift between families and the community, and how families find ways to nourish and preserve their links to the Church, ought to be a primary ethical and pastoral task of the Church.

This study analyzed epistemic bias in the state’s narrative about Gerwani during the 1965 G30S event using the epistemology of intelligence approach. Through a qualitative philosophical method, this research evaluated the state’s processes of information acquisition, interpretation, and dissemination, focusing on the identification of political bias, gender bias, confirmation bias, framing effects, overconfidence bias, as well as the use of misinformation and disinformation. The findings revealed that the state’s narrative about Gerwani was systematically constructed to support the New Order regime’s political agenda through the manipulation of information. This study aims to analyze how the watermelon is used, interpreted, and disseminated as a symbol of resistance and a form of expression of solidarity with the Palestinian struggle on social media. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach through various literature sources. It draws upon Roland Barthes’ (1977) theory of signs and meaning to examine the symbolic use of the watermelon in this context.
