Gregory Delts, Mark Naison, Steven Payne
Oral Histories
Growing up and living in the Bronx up until recently, Gregory Delts detailed the institutions and communities that greatly impacted his life and how he has given back. The apartment building in which Greg was raised showcased the diversity of the Bronx and the strong community that they shared among residents. Friends and family alike cared for him and the other kids in the neighborhood by sharing their homes and food with one another. Although he attended the public schools in the Bronx until high school, he was sent to the rigorous Deerfield Academy in Massachusetts for his teenage years. …

Security And Reliability Considerations In Modern Bluetooth Audio Implementations, John Trevino
Theatre Faculty Publications
This paper provides a practical overview of security and reliability considerations relevant to modern Bluetooth audio implementations. Drawing from platform documentation and observed behavior in consumer devices, the report focuses on profile-level characteristics, common architectural constraints, and real-world reliability factors that affect both communication and media playback scenarios. The goal is to offer a clear, outcomes-oriented summary suitable for practitioners, educators, and technical evaluators. No proprietary techniques or implementation-specific methods are discussed.

Creating With Industry: Integrating Industry Projects Within A Tertiary Music Curriculum, Sean Foran, Patrick Carroll
Staff Scholarship - Australia & Dubai
Australian tertiary contemporary music courses often feature a curriculum that includes aspects of songwriting, music production, music industry, cultural studies, collaborative entrepreneurship and individual creative practice. Research shows that graduates from these programs commonly move into the often-cited 'portfolio career', which integrates diverse aspects of musical practice such as performance, recording, teaching, community engagement, and a digital creative presence.
At SAE University College, the institution is driven by structures and frameworks to ensure that student learning is authentic, collaborative, feedback-focused, and future-oriented. A Few Millimeters Of Bone: How Male Supremacists Leverage Scientific Sexism To Reinforce Misogynistic Ideologies, Robin O'Hanlon
A Few Millimeters Of Bone: How Male Supremacists Leverage Scientific Sexism To Reinforce Misogynistic Ideologies, Robin O'Hanlon
Publications and Research
In recent years, male supremacist actors have reinforced their misogynistic worldviews by using narrative strategies centered on authoritative “common sense” and scientific “fact.” This paper presents a thematic narrative analysis of The Incel Wiki and the Wiki4Men, representing the first formal analysis of the wiki for the men’s rights organization A Voice for Men. The analysis indicates male supremacists use techniques including misappropriation of scientific information, manipulation of statistics, and leveraging pseudoscientific information to develop their narrative strategies of supremacy. The most consistent narrative strategies of scientific sexism on the wikis are male victimhood, denial of inequality between men and …
A Not-Quite-Assessment Of Assessing Autoethnography: Ekphrastic Compositions On Quality, Clarity, And (Un)Certainty In Autoethnography, Aaron Hoy
The Qualitative Report
Taking an ekphrastic approach, this essay responds to and reflects on my reading of Assessing Autoethnography: Notes on Analysis, Evaluation, and Craft by Andrew F. Herrmann and Tony E. Adams. It has three parts. First, I summarize the book’s central chapters and discuss their practical uses, especially as prompts for in-progress autoethnographies. Second, using clarity as a point of entry, I explore a tension I felt while reading the book—between the comforting utility of specific criteria and the marginalizing power of criteria themselves. Finally, I share a found poem composed in response to the book and reflect on the impermanent …

'What The World Would Be': How Creating A Shared World Through Collaborative Roleplaying Helps Us To Deal With Real-World Challenges, Pablo Muslera
'What The World Would Be': How Creating A Shared World Through Collaborative Roleplaying Helps Us To Deal With Real-World Challenges, Pablo Muslera
Staff Scholarship - Australia & Dubai
This article is in two parts: a creative prose artefact, and a critical exegesis situating the artefact in a wider context. It illustrates how roleplaying games explore community and identity, through a creative / critical lens. A prose dramatisation of a cooperative TTRPG (table top roleplaying game) session, played online over Discord and online gaming platform Roll20, juxtaposes the collaboratively imagined world, and the reality from which it is an escape. Themes of gender identity, isolation, precarious work and fluctuating health are explored within the timeframe of the Covid outbreak in Adelaide mid-2020, with the roleplaying session serving as a …
