Suffering and death are the basic human conditions, hence the importance of the cognitive function and value of tragic art that re-presents suffering and death on stage. Aristotle’s Poetics is the first theoretical work in the history of Western aesthetics to comprehensively discuss the topic of tragedy. In answer to Plato’s criticism of dramatic art, Aristotle argues that tragedy “effects through pity and fear the catharsis of such emotions”, which are best aroused by the spectacle of a moderately good man who falls into misery not through vice but through some hamartia. Animal Sentience

Whether or not arthropods are sentient, they can have moral standing. Appeals to sentience are not necessary and retard progress in human treatment of other species, including invertebrates. Other increasingly well-documented aspects of invertebrate minds are pertinent to their welfare. Even if arthropods are not sentient, they can be agents whose goals—and therefore interests—can be frustrated. This kind of agency is sufficient for moral status and requires that we consider their welfare.

The study aimed to find out the level of teachers’ job satisfaction, job burnout, and the relationship between them. In addition, the study tested the effect of independent variables which are: age, specialization and marital status. One hundred forty-five primary teachers (91 males; 54 females) randomly selected, took part in the study. The data collected via two different adapted instruments (Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) and Job Satisfaction Instrument). The results revealed an ambivalent level of job satisfaction and a remarkable level of job burnout. Furthermore, job satisfaction was negatively correlated with two dimensions of burnout: depersonalization and emotional exhaustion while …

This study was based on Al-Shatibi dependence on Al-Farra’s syntactical thought to establish and build syntactical structures that help to interpret speech fully and properly and trace grammarians’ viewpoints concerning certain issues under scrutiny. The researcher investigates and identifies Al-Farra’s thoughts or views that Ash-Shatibi rejected and refused. The study shows that most of these views are mysterious; it also shows that Ash-Shatibi rejected and attenuated Al-Farra’s views and sayings intentionally; this is evident in Ash-Shatibis’ book entitled “Al-Maqasid Ash-Shafiya fi Sharh Al-Kholasa Al-Kafiya” (The Healing Intentions in Interpreting the Adequate Conclusion).

It was used mainly to interpret a set of grammatical evidences and rules in a way that changes the meaning of the Arabic sentence including Quranic verses when the conjunction is deleted and/or rejected.
