The study attempted to identify the effect of the use of concrete teaching aids in the immediate and deferred achievement in the teaching of the Science unit entitled «Tools» for female third graders.

The sample of the study was divided into two groups: an experimental group (42), who were taught by using the concrete teaching aids, and a control group (40) who were taught by using the usual technique.

An achievement test was administered to both groups. The test consisted of (20) items, most of which were of the multiple choice type.
