The Establishment And Shaping Of The Education System And National Identity In Manchukuo, Tianyang Lei

This thesis studies the education system and national identity of Manchukuo the nationstate (1932-1945). In September of 1932, the Japanese army staged the "Mukden Incident," a bombing of a railway line near Shenyang that was used as a pretext for the invasion of Manchuria. Following the incident, the Japanese established the state of Manchukuo with the last emperor of China, Puyi, as its nominal head of state. The establishment of Manchukuo marked the beginning of Japan's aggressive expansion in Asia and its militarization of the region. El objeto de esta investigación son los determinantes de la deserción estudiantil en estudiantes de pregrado, caso empírico primer curso de la Universidad de La Salle. Para este propósito se emplearon datos de tres fuentes secundarias de información para 11 970 estudiantes con cohortes de ingreso comprendidas en el periodo 2010-2020. El presente estudio es de enfoque cuantitativo, tipo no experimental y carácter analítico descriptivo. Para el análisis de los determinantes se hizo uso del Modelo Logit Jerárquico, el cual permite explicar los efectos de las variables en los distintos niveles de agregación. With the progression of streaming services in recent years, the art form of animation has gained traction, continuing to develop into exceedingly creative forms through the work of talented artists. Animation has developed alongside the film industry, achieving great success in the process. This thesis will define animation and its place within visual effects, critically analyze categories of character design, theme, and story while demonstrating their relationship with animation, and contrast animation with live action films to understand its strengths and differentiations. Año tras año, la agroindustria genera subproductos que se desechan en grandes cantidades. Aunque en su mayoría son biodegradables, estos pueden aprovecharse al darles un segundo uso en la industria, de manera que se generen beneficios económicos y se reduzca la contaminación ambiental. El mango (Mangifera indica) ocupa el quinto lugar en la producción mundial de cultivos frutales, y en Colombia genera 25 362 hectáreas cultivadas por año. Esta fruta es rica en compuestos bioactivos como ácido ascórbico, carotenoides y compuestos fenólicos, los cuales tienen propiedades antioxidantes y bioquímicas que se pueden aprovechar en la industria. …

Athenaeum: Scholarly Works of the FIU Libraries Faculty and Staff

In 2021, the Florida International University (FIU) Libraries received the Recordings at Risks (R&R) grant from the Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR). The funds allowed us to digitize, create metadata, and provide online access to hundreds of unique Caribbean and Latin American songs produced between 1900 and 1935 that are included in the Diaz Ayala Cuban and Latin American Popular Music Collection (DAC) Cassette Series. The digitized materials comprise more than 1,000 cassettes with approximately 1,200 songs, recorded originally in 78rpms by Columbia, Victor, and other historical record companies. The music represents a variety of genres and is …
