The C-shaped root canals offer greater negotiation, debridement, and obturation difficulty as they present with intercommunications, lateral canals, and reduced dentin thickness.

Objective: This case series elaborates on the recognition that these varying configurations is important to enhance adequate cleaning, shaping, and sealing of the root canal.

Case Reports: On clinical examination, all the teeth showed caries were nonresponsive to sensibility tests and toother diagnostic tests, suggestive of pulp necrosis with apical periodontitis. Rising rates of severe maternal morbidity in the U.S. highlight the unmet need for continuous and comprehensive health care for women before, during, and after pregnancy. This data slice summarizes findings from a study that tested whether ACA Medicaid expansions helped reduce severe maternal morbidity, including transfusion, ruptured uterus, unplanned hysterectomy, eclampsia, and the need for intensive care. Results show little evidence that the ACA expansions improved maternal morbidity, other than reducing the need for blood transfusions.

Emergency medicine (EM) physicians constitute the front line of healthcare providers. They work swiftly to address critical situations, diagnose illnesses, and stabilize patients. Amidst a growing need and shortage of EM physicians, this longitudinal descriptive study captures EM physicians’ preferences for practice locations by studying Florida EM physicians’ relocation patterns between 2006 and 2020. Esti- mates from a Cox Proportional-Hazards model and fixed effects logistic regressions suggest that wage amenities are not a strong determinant of relocation over time. Physician attrition and relocation are instead more saliently affected by high work volumes within the EM physician’s primary work location.

This study analyzes the correlation between patient age with hospitalization cases and cost in Indonesia. The design of this study was cross-sectional quantitative using open sources data from Indonesia National Health Insurance Agency (BPJS Kesehatan). The sample units in this study were hospitalization cases from 2015-2021 of National Health Insurance program member. Sample size of this study are 43,921 that weighted to get 3,901,373 hospitalization cases. This study show an uptrend in cases and the total cost of cardiovascular disease hospitalization in 2015-2019, while it show downtrend during the Covid-19 pandemic. This paper aims to analyze the impact of health shock on household consumption and estimate the role of health insurance and microcredit in tackling the shock impact. The primary variable used in this study as a proxy for health shock is the impairment of activity in daily living (ADL) experienced by household heads. The impact evaluation method of Propensity Score Matching (PSM) was employed to estimate the impact of health shock on Indonesian household consumption using data from Indonesian Family Life Survey (IFLS-5). Despite being widely used in health economics, dynamic models of health and healthcare typ ically assume that the persistence in these outcomes is the same for every individual. This paper explores individual-level heterogeneity in the persistence of health outcomes. Using simple re gression methods that do not place any restriction on the distribution of the heterogeneity in persistence, the paper documents substantial heterogeneity in health, medical expenditures, and healthcare use. We show that neglecting this heterogeneity leads to estimates that overstate the average persistence and can bias the coefficients of covariates. We find that between 75% and 87% of individuals …

Cancer-related financial hardship (i.e., financial toxicity) has been associated with anxiety and depression, greater pain and symptom burden, treatment nonadherence, and mortality. In chapter 1, I assess the long-term education and labor market effects of missed ADHD diagnoses. Doing so is challenging for two reasons. First, a person's true ADHD status is unobserved; only their diagnosed status is known. Second, even if diagnostic errors are observed, they are likely akin to non-classical misclassification errors and therefore endogenous.
